The radiohead song prince should have covered! Ive always wanted to see prince do a version of this song just to see what he would or could do with it but never thought it would happen as I didnt think he would even be aware of who radiohead are. But now that it seems he does know I wish he had covered this if he had really wanted to shock also it shows what a brilliant band radiohead are to those who dont know so check it out. Paranoid Android jools holland.

So we're all Radiohead-fans now??? Just like we were all Foo Fighters fans a year ago??? You know what they say about arguing on the internet… It’s a lot like running a race in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded.

to believe that P wasn't even aware of who Radiohead are is seriously ridiculous..... You know what they say about arguing on the internet… It’s a lot like running a race in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded.

Both the Foos and Radiohead are extremely important rock based bands in the last 15 yrs. Both are known for great live shows and melting of several genres in their approach to song writing. Prince is more than aware of bands, and offers these songs as a branch to those fans to show he can do the rock thing. But let's not get crazy about what it means about the artist he covered. you are completely right.....I am just ridiculing those Prince fans who are now all of a sudden Radiohead-fans.....Like they were bigtime Foo Fighters fans a year ago..... You know what they say about arguing on the internet… It’s a lot like running a race in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you’re still retarded.

I've often wondered if Prince and Thom Yorke were spiritually connected.

my older sister listened to Radiohead's Pablo Honey album when she was in HS so they grew on me...they really are a great band...whats wrong with more people being exposed and listening? whether or not they're true fans of them or not they have their foot in the door to their music right?

Look Ive been a radiohead fan for over 12 years now not just since prince decided to do a bad drawn out cover of theres a couple of nights ago. "lets not get crazy about what it means about the artist he covered" your talking like radiohead need princes help or something their albums in england are consistently being voted the greatest of all time particualary ok computer which is rarely off the number one spot. I think its more the other way round that prince needs there help to be seen as more relevant the fact is unless your a prince fan which I am your not exactly going to seek prince out these days are you???[/quote] You completely got me wrong. Re-read my post I give major credit to Radiohead, as although I own several albums and they are not my fav band, they are very very important for music. Like Beck, and a few others, Radiohead has pushed genres and ignored trends, which is a major big deal to me. I am just saying let's not beat this to death. When he covered Maybe your baby in 94 at Glam Slam did we all second guess what song or why he covered Stevie. good music is good music. Creep may not be my fav, and could be seen as an obvious pick, but sh*t when of the best live performers and guitarists of this generation picks a song it's pretty fng cool. And yes Paranoid Android would have been cooler in my book. I am just glad he is covering/referencing rock musicians rather than the weak r&b stuff he has been . Rolling, no negative digs on your band. sorry for the confusion

Yeah, it certainly would be interesting to hear him cover "paranoid android" as I think it's a much better song than "creep", which frankly has become a rock chliché, although Prince did his best to change it up.

Personally, I hope he will cover The Beatles' "I want you (She's so heavy)".

That would be like, OMG! i always thought he'd cover "taxman" during the gold era, it just seemed to fit with his mindset at the time i guess. perhaps i just wanted to hear him do that guitar solo with his gold symbol guitar a la empty room 1995 sometimes i wish i had a pill to make people disappear

sorry clicked the vid heard a few bars and clicked off. So youve judged the song after listening to the first few bars dont be ridiculous. Music is supposed to take you on a journey and this is an epic song listen to the whole thing through and if you still dont rate it then fine but to judge it after listening to the first few bars is foolish. Its like me saying to you oh youll never guess what happened last night it was amazing and then begining the story with I left the house at 7.30 and then you saying no stop that stories rubbish. no its not like that at all, sorry to have offended you but i REALLY DONT like that type of music. it sounds suicidal, the lead singer cant sing it sounds tuneless to me. Im sure all the musicians are talented and as an instrumental may be interesting but no its not captivating and yes i can tell if i like something within the first phrase. I also didnt like prince playing it either it still sounded like a musical mush to me a droning sound with little relief to its monotony. as for your story idea, if a story starts in a boring fashion many people will put the book down and not 'soldier' on. To be interesting to an individual something has to be captivating from the very beginning. Music is entertainment its not meant to be a battle, its not that profound. sorry, dont agree with you! if you like it thats good, but i dont, dont you ever flick through radio stations quickly and think nope, nope, nope? and finally settle on one you like or indeed compromise? I often listen to new or different music literally to see whats out there, but i do know what i absolutely dislike - and what ive heard of radiohead fits that bill. if you can supply me the name of track that you think may change my mind then great, post it and i will listen with an open mind, but im guessing it would be their one in a milion that doesnt 'fit' with the rest of their stuff. you can be what ever you want to be

The Radiohead song Prince should have covered? None of the above. I love Prince and I've been a Radiohead fan for years (I grew up in the 90s), but the two don't mix. Even when singing in falsetto, Prince can't really do Thom's voice (which isn't an insult, Thom couldn't do Prince either). The style is completely different than anything Prince does or has done before Coachella or should ever do.

but I sure haven't heard that P blew the crowd away with 'The 1 U Wanna C'!!!! I can only say that I really didn't like it! Prince blew the crowds at Coachella away, respect! This wasn't a home-game, but we knew he could.....it's just too bad that everybody's talking about 'Creep' instead of some unreleased kick-ass song of which I am certain Prince has lying around somewhere.... just my 2 cents! totally! you can be what ever you want to be
