The radiohead song prince should have covered!

Ive always wanted to see prince do a version of this song just to see what he would or could do with it but never thought it would happen as I didnt think he would even be aware of who radiohead are. But now that it seems he does know I wish he had covered this if he had really wanted to shock also it shows what a brilliant band radiohead are to those who dont know so check it out. Both are known for great live shows and melting of several genres in their approach to song writing.

Prince is more than aware of bands, and offers these songs as a branch to those fans to show he can do the rock thing.

Look Ive been a radiohead fan for over 12 years now not just since prince decided to do a bad drawn out cover of theres a couple of nights ago. "lets not get crazy about what it means about the artist he covered" your talking like radiohead need princes help or something their albums in england are consistently being voted the greatest of all time particualary ok computer which is rarely off the number one spot. I think its more the other way round that prince needs there help to be seen as more relevant the fact is unless your a prince fan which I am your not exactly going to seek prince out these days are you???

Don't get me wrong: I do like Radiohead! Í'm not crazy about them (anymore, loved them during 'OK Computer'), and I saw them live once.... It's pretty obvious that P decided to cover 'Creep' to work the crowds. Coachella is probably the world's biggest indie-rock/alternative festival (I still want to go there one day, as I'm an indie-rock buff), and there were some nasty voices after the announcement of his appereance at the festival.....'what's Prince doing in the line-up?' Prince came and conquered, blew them all away, something we orgers knew already for ages that he is capable of doing.....
No, I can't imagine P listening to Radiohead and go 'WOW, during next show let's skip 'Pass The Peas' and do 'Kid A'!!!!' Sure he respects them, he's been in the bizz long enough! 'Creep' was a crowd-pleaser, as was 'Best Of You' during the 2007 Superbowl.....these weren't his regular audiences!!!
I still haven't seen a setlist but I sure haven't heard that P blew the crowd away with 'The 1 U Wanna C'!!!!
As for the Foo Fighters, it has been known for long that Dave Grohl is a fan. The Foos have been covering P for ages during shows.... No way are Dave & his band musicians like P (Dave would blow P away on the skins though), but there is respect of both sides.
I've never heard Thom Yorke talk about P.....

'Creep' was a crowd-pleaser last Saturday, and it worked..... I was excited, curious and wanted to hear/see it.....I finally did on YouTube, I can only say that I really didn't like it!
Prince blew the crowds at Coachella away, respect! This wasn't a home-game, but we knew he could.....it's just too bad that everybody's talking about 'Creep' instead of some unreleased kick-ass song of which I am certain Prince has lying around somewhere....

Especially the opening track that says, "yesterday woke up sucking a lemon" over and over again, cause so many of his pictures have that "sucking on a lemon" look on his face It would be fucking brilliant.

So youve judged the song after listening to the first few bars dont be ridiculous. Music is supposed to take you on a journey and this is an epic song listen to the whole thing through and if you still dont rate it then fine but to judge it after listening to the first few bars is foolish. Its like me saying to you oh youll never guess what happened last night it was amazing and then begining the story with I left the house at 7.30 and then you saying no stop that stories rubbish.

Yeah, it certainly would be interesting to hear him cover "paranoid android" as I think it's a much better song than "creep", which frankly has become a rock chliché, although Prince did his best to change it up.
Another song from Radiohead that would be interesting to hear played by Prince is "Nude" from In Rainbows. His falsetto could really work with that track, and it's a really beautiful song.

The Radiohead song Prince should have covered? None of the above. I love Prince and I've been a Radiohead fan for years (I grew up in the 90s), but the two don't mix. Even when singing in falsetto, Prince can't really do Thom's voice (which isn't an insult, Thom couldn't do Prince either). The style is completely different than anything Prince does or has done before Coachella or should ever do.

I think that Prince was trying to cash in on the fact that people started really liking "Creep" again since Rock Band came out, but I really don't think he should have done it. I love the two, but as separate entities.
