Old Skool Prince Track Of The Weekend; God Instrumental I can not say how much I dig this song. It's beautifully arched and one of the most interesting instrumental songs Prince ever recorded. TO me personally, I think this is in my top ten most fave Prince songs ever, maybe even top 5!

I agree, it was on my Ipod this morning, i think it is underrated. i guess most fans have only heard it while watching Purple Rain, and let's face it, they're probably not concentrating on the music at that moment, but stifling laughter at Prince struggling to be seen behind Apollonia's voluminous boobies.

This is really beautiful. The moment has passed, but it would have been interesting at the time to hear a whole side project in this vein. Just sung it's praises about the instrumental what, 2 weeks ago. Hamster, did u do this to get me to post?! U KNOW how much I dig this track. Talked about it many times on here in depth. I see Hamster, u posted the back of the picture of the album. Just a little while ago, I wanted someone to post it cuz I asked if anybody had noticed anything behind the white raindrops. Jeffiner actually went to go look for her copy but it was packed away. So I'll ask u Hamster, have u ever noticed anything behind the rain. Look at it. just listened to the purple rain movie while i did the house work, didnt watch it, so i wasnt distracted by Princes grop fest

I guess no one on here actually has the 12' in their possesion. U can clearly see in the gray "foggy" areas, behind the song titles, two gray circles that looks like eyes. And then towards the bottom, u can see a larger gray area that looks like a mouth. There is even a small gray area in the middle that appears to be a nose. But it's not as pronounced as the eyes or the mouth. I always thought it looked like a face of a monster in the sky. I noticed this very shortly after I bought the 12' in 84.
