i looked this festival up in wilkpedia and found that it has a track history of reunions. maybe prince and the revolution, it's not a "prince" venue, no american TV so it fits the bill for a man of mystery. | |

Nothing Princely about that whether he was on the show or not! Plus I've seen other items that have nothing to do with Prince so I wouldn't go so far to call it Prince's spokesperson. How far is Coachella from West Hollywood? Sly & The Family Stone are playing that night at the West Hollywood House of Blues. If it is Sly then that could bode well for the First Ave show next Friday May 2nd which I will be attending. Perhaps Prince might show up for that?

Diplo, might make a good remixer for some uptempo dance songs! Actually I find it weird seeing Prince at a festival. It just isn't him. Sure $4.5m is him. I just can't see the festival crowd (uninterested folks, beer throwing, mud dancing) getting into Prince. It just might be opening for the Stones all over again. . [Edited 4/25/08 2:25am] I have to agree with you about Sharon & the Dap Kings, love their sound. I just became a new fan of their music. Sharon's a true, soul singer and her band has that 60s, JB soul sound, and it's no wonder,since she is from James Brown hometown of Augusta, GA.
