Have you ever written a fan letter 2 Prince?

I remember writing Prince in 1983, and again in 1985...and on both occasions I recieved a postcard in return. The first one was a black card with Prince on stage reaching for a rose.
The second postcard was a little bigger with Prince on stage in white lace from the Purple Rain era.

Have u ever written Prince and if so, did u recieve a response?

No, but when I was with NPGMC I paid for some music downloads I did not receive and I wrote a letter to paisley park after they took the money off my credit card. They wrote me back and told me to try again,yeah right, and pay again!

In my life I've written three fan letters--One to Prince, two to Michael Jackson.

Neither one wrote back.

If I was famous, I'd appreciate them...but I'd be annoyed because it'd be a pain in the ass to read all of them.

Yes. I wrote a letter to Prince back in '81 or '82, after that incident when he opened for The Rolling Stones in Los Angeles. I was supposed to be going to that concert, but at the last minute I wasn't able to attend. Then the following day I read the reports about what had happened at that concert. I was so angry that the Rolling Stones audience didn't give Prince a chance to show them what he had, and I felt so horrible for Prince, that I wrote him to encourage him to keep doing his thing and that the Stones fans really blew a chance to see a good show. The whole letter was maybe a page and a half, and I never received a response.

I haven't written him a letter yet, but i plan to on his 50th birthday this year... i wonder what i would say since he does celebrate birthdays anymore,
but i still think it is a big day in someone's life no matter what.

I've never written to Prince, I'm very logical that way. However when I was in Minneapolis 7/7/07 at the Hard Rock cafe I did see a letter written by Prince to a handicapped fan and it was touching. He wrote in the letter that he never usually responds to fan letters but this was an exception. He has very nice handwriting. My opinion is he probably gets a ton of mail and his staff maybe sorts them for him. He is probably too busy to reply but may read a couple. :shrugs: I know from a source that he does not reply fan mail (he's scared you may show up at his door LOL!).
Also when I visited Paisley Park 7/7/07 after the concert. I noticed some packages (noticed a big framed picture of a blonde girl) in the grass but they were abandoned and rifled thru (probably by fans) and the storm was about to hit, so I am sure they were ruined as there was no one in the Park except for a few fans taking pictures of the building.

That was nice of u PDogz...Even if Prince didn't have the time to read fan mail...maybe his staff has, and if the letter was of encouragement, they either passed it on, or told Prince that a fan wrote a supportive letter...I am sure after that incident, Prince was happy to have someone stand up for him.

Nope, what are the odds that he will ever see what ever you send him.....If I ever meet him seems more appropriate....

yes l have written to prince back in the days b4 the dolphin video came out and b4 he married to mayte.....

to my surprise he did the dolphin song on video and noticin he did few sign language which was my proudest moment to see tht.... (very touching..)..

i wrote to prince few years back, but never got a reply i can understand that though. i was reading somewhere that there have been reports that he doesnt even read his own bills!

Candy got on the mic a said something like.
I have got a message from Prince (afcourse this was al in dutch)
So we all looked like ok who wrote a letter or something to him that he doesnt like.
And then she (Candy) said something like we drive in jeeps now so get on the program?? uhm ok.

BTW this ONA thing was nice only Prince was on stage during the soundcheck and said something like look at old this bold guys they are all scalpers.
Again i was thinking uhm No prince this are your fans only a bit older and whit less hair

I have written to Prince at least 3 times in my life. Although I left the letter open to whomever read it because it had information that the world needs. It was about salvatation. In each one at different times in my life I outlined scriptures from the gospel and prayed that whomever the reader was would be blessed. I didn't expect a return and don't remember if I put any return address on anything.

Prince didn't answer. MJ replied: Do u have a good looking son?

A while ago I found a birthday card that I bought for Prince YEARS ago. The front of the card said For You in really pretty script. I guess I thought it would be perfect for him but I never sent it. It's in a box with the rest of my Prince memorabilia.
