Oh yes! I love this song..and the video is so retro and campy I love it! I think I missed the Purple Rain reference but I got the new Snoop album yesterday and I was surprised to find out he did a cover of the Time's "Cool" it is pretty good, it's not the original but Snoop does a nice version of it in his own style.

I was thinking the same...It must be slow because we are recycling threads.

Snoop can never get old,because his Kool persona shines through,& with songs like ''Vato'' that came out recently which is way 2 fonky & is calling for peace & unity,Snoop might be world reknown,but always will stay underground....I saw aswell on another thread that Prince never liked the top 40(I feel the same,always have),Puffy can't rap(but has a kool character & is better in business than rap) & other commercial rap needs to go,KEEP IT REAL PEOPLE!!!Notorious Biggie Smalls definately could rap.
P.S. I remember back in the day in 1988 seeing on a YO!MTV RAPS marathon Eazy-E's video,''We Want Eazy''taken from We Want Bootsy,in the beginning of the video when the other guy talking to the cop points to Eazy,& the cop chases him & he runs for it!!!!!Or the duet with,'The D.O.C.' in 'It's Funky Enough'(Now that's Classic rap which overrules).EAZY-E,Biggie Smalls,Tupac Amaru Shakur('No More Pain' is the ultimate G-Track) R.I.P...Wow,the good old days,I remember when rap was underground with people like Public Enemy,Boogie Down Productions,Big Daddy Kane,Kool G Rap & DJ Polo,Geto Boys('my mind's playing tricks on me'),Stetsasonic(talkin' all that jazz'),EPMD('so let the funk flow'),Jungle Brothers,King Sun,Spice 1 e.t.c. & also the rest of the 80s music which was a very good decade for music.Prince I'm pretty sure also likes gangsta rap,you can tell :)Prince,my man,don't let the jealous critics get you down,you always have & always will be the Koolest of the Kool,I'm always with you 'till the day I die

Another thing i like about Snoop is that the brother has a good sense of humor,can't forget how Kool he is,but also has seen more than most so he's also keeping it real & true to tha game
