Anyhow, I just want him to start having fun with his music again, be creative, try new things. Some new material later this year would really be the best thing possible (other than it blowing our minds), but just do whatever makes you happy Prince, you're the man!

i really dont mind these quiet times, P needs his damn alone time!! i dunno how some of these fans are gonna do it when and if he decides to put creation for music to a rest...well im not sure if that will ever happen but making records perhaps..some of these fans is gonna go loco!

He wants to be silent. When you strip away the music, lights, cameras, actions, fame and distractions, he is entirely unnoticable, and doesnt seem to mind.

that teeth thread I participated in was a looooong time ago.

But I understand what you're saying. But most of us, including myself, when writing in here aren't really thinking of him being hurt reading all this crap in here.

It's very anonymous in here.

For me it's mostly fun but sometimes I think about the things I wrote and I feel very uncomfortable thinking he could read it.

Then I feel embarrassed.

I acknowledge immediately that I would be very disturbed if people did write stuff like that about me, yikes.

I'm kind of enjoying the complete silence and non-presence right now. It reminds me of the pre-internet days when, despite having months of desperately waiting for a scrap of news; when it did come, it was far, far sweeter because we'd been starved so much of anything Princely.

We could be on the cusp of a really exciting time for Prince fans, I reckon. If it's true that he's turned his back on the internet, then that brings back my faith in the maverick that is Prince. He was among the early when it came to using the internet to bring the music to the fans, and now he's going left once more (when everyone else is going right) in completely blanking it. Surely the first major artist to do so since the internet became the norm?

He's going against the grain. Gotta love him for it.

Maybe he has now turned his attention to something totally different, maybe he will pop up in a new, Prince-made space, perhaps a combination of online/offline or something else, but all his own. He is innovation personified. A visionary.

This must be a very, if not tempting, at least appropriate proposal to him...
I like to think that 'playing' is all he does:)... - that he doesn't consider his composing, performing, touring, etc. as 'work', that there is no demarcation for him between the traditional 'work' and 'play' time, that he plays and thinks of music and what could inspire him 24h/365. On top of his music/artistic talents, that's what I love about him: his passion for his art. It's like they are One. I've no doubts he has worked his a.. off to get where he is, but I like to think that for him, down the line, it mustn't feel like work, but pure, undiluted fun.
And I can imagine him too approaching his art and life in general just like children play: with a curious mind and open, unbiased eyes. I can imagine him in that mental mode too.
So yes, I think an invitation to come and play is appropriate, and hopefully tempting:), should he navigate these Org spheres...

I think the media holds a good share of the responsibility here, I mean about privacy [or lack of], and it's not going about it discretely...

honestly... i think if Prince ever did hang out here.. he'd hang out more in the Music:Non-Prince forum .. why? cause it's filled with all type of artists and music of different eras 60's, 70's etc .. as well as today's.. Prince is all about music..
