Prince is not as greedy as some say

Foxnews is reporting that Michael Jackson is set to receive 1 million dollars a night from AEG to do a smiliar run of shows in London to Prince's.

Link: http://www.foxnews.com/st...57,00.html

This the relevant part:

The AEG offer should pique Michael’s interest for other reasons, too. If he can complete the 30-concert run, he’d beat Prince’s record of 21 shows. And, sources say, Prince didn’t clear the $1 million-a-night take. Why?

"He charged 31.21 British sterling per show. He got the number from the album that was out at the time, called "3121." And that was taken from his address. And the numbers added up to seven, which he also liked."

Luckily, Michael Jackson has no address at this time, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

Prince probably would have charged more per ticket at the 02 if, at the time, he was nearly bankrupt and had spent the previous year fighting off yet another child molestation charge. nod

He's been finished years ago. It's a damn shame too. I used to love Mr MJ. nod

MJ struggled to do ONE performance years ago for the Jackson special. There's no way he's physically able to do 30 shows, and if he's just standing there lipping it(cause his voice is gone too), even his psycho fans aren't paying to watch.

As far as P being greedy...

He does projects and shows and promotion how and when he feels like doing them, only playing the game so much to allow him to do what he really wants to do.

If he was greedy, we'd see him all the damn time.

with Prince fans, We're talking about MJ more than Prince in a thread about Prince in a Prince discussion forum on a Prince fansite!

Who's getting more of your attention? That's 'popularity'.! (- which, in my opinion, is very different to friendship.) heart

Michael is almost bankrupt but Prince is dancing in the money--sorry, he no longer dances, my bad--so there is a profound difference. Prince really fucking sucks and nothing will change that. The guy even sues little kids.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!
