Who's gonna finally do a decent cover of a Prince song?

Has there even been an ok cover?

Does this mean that George Benson could cover Prince? and I wouldn't mind hearing Prince sing, "I Just wanna hang around U"

Buddy Miles' Baby I'm A Star is pretty good, though fairly similar to the original.

Sinead's version of "Nothing Compares 2 U" is the best cover of a Prince song. Chaka's "I Feel 4 U" is another. Alicia's "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore" is a decent cover. She updated it.

Thank god I heard Prince sing this live. I no longer have any association of this great song with her. I don't actually hear ANY radioplay of her. She's persona non grata.

Doesn't compare to the original of course but it's still pretty good.

Chaka Khan, Sinead O Connor, and Cyndi Lauper all recorded covers of Prince songs that were better than the originals.

I covered 7 Prince songs so far. Pretty decent too. Unfortunally, I can't show you links or whatever. I don't want my ass sued.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Foo Fighters cover of Darling Nikki, that was the bomb!
