Prince vs. The Time in a battle of the bands today?

Watching the PPV fight last night got me thinking ----

So, we know the Kid won decisively in "Purple Rain."

And he pulled out a close soul-saving victory in "Graffiti Bridge."

But, if these 2 titans were to meet in a battle for a third and final time:

Who would win?

the time are an incredible funk band but cmon.....its fucking prince. his live show now is even better than it was in the mid-eighties

not even fair LOL at least tito trinidad faught in 2005, the Time aint got it on since 1990! how many songs has prince recorded in that time span?.

now make it interesting, give morris jimmy and terry for one night, strip princes band and give him wendy, lisa and the old crew (despite any rust) and limit him to pre 1990 tunes. That's like tieing one hand behind princes back.

Prince has no equal when it comes 2 live performance.

Didn't Prince dictate everything about the Time? The look, the songs, the performances...

They're all extremely talented in their own right, but I don't know how they'd do with their own songs, moves etc...

The last Prince concerts that I saw were disappointing.

What would it matter? Before the show, Prince would be giving instructions to The Time on what dance to do, the order of the songs to play and when to jump... as the show opens he'd be playing all the instruments for the band behind the curtain... then he'd come out and do his whole show right after... no contest.. No Prince = No Time.
