Father Figure is a good song, but no competition with Adore.

"Father Figure" is Kobe to "Adore"'s MJ.

"Father Figure" is the Chrysler 300 to "Adore"'s Phantom.

"Father Figure" is canned Glory greens. "Adore" is grandmama's greens.

I love prince but keep listening to GM a lot. It's just great POP, very cleverly produced..... I have to say Father Figure a it is also in my top 5 GM songs

Everybody has their own taste but I have witnessed people crying and falling out when P performs "Adore". No one is going to fall out over "Father Figure"

I think it's more appropriate to compare Father Figure to Anotherloverholeinyo head, musically at least. Adore is in another category, and if you want to compare it to something it will have to a big, slow, longuish ballad.
