Why is Musicology out of print?

Why is Musicology out of print?

Its not available anywhere digitally. When you click on it on iTunes you get a message saying that this product is no longer available in the U.S. store. Rhapsody took it down. Yahoo doesn't have it anymore. I checked on FYE.com and it has it listed as out of stock. Is Musicology following in the footsteps of The Gold Experience and Raveuntothejoyfantastic? Its his comeback album why would it not be out there?

well i hav i was in hmv on saturday and i always hav a look at the prince albums and the digipak was there

There are several possible situations

1. iTunes is updating, perhaps to iTunes plus
2. There is another edition of Musicology being released?
3. Prince pulled it off the sites

I found the physical CD for sale in many locations, but I wonder if this has anything to do with all of the major record labels agreeing to sell all of their music online at Amazon DRM-free? Maybe Prince liked DRM on his music with his anti-piracy tirade these days.

Digipak's are cardboard packaging with a plastic tray or cardboard folder to store the CD, versus a Jewel Case which is the standard plastic tray with hinge that we all know and love.
