(ducking: here come the Democrat jokes...) The New Congress plays a blend of jazz, hip hop, pop and rock. They have six talented band members and are winners of the 2006 Minnesota Music Awards for Best R&B Artist/Group and R&B Album for their relase "Everybody Gets Up!" They also won two Los Angeles Music Awards in 2006 for NeoSoul Artist of the Year and R&B Single of the Year for "Make You Move." Before i ever heard them play i heard rave reviews. I've been listening to "Only Human" amd really  their sound. They play at Bunkers in Mpls every Thursday nite when they're in town.[Edited 12/27/07 9:07am] | |
