Which "hit" Prince song would you admit to not liking ?

I'd been a huge P fan for around ten years and absolutely couldn't stand Purple Rain

I skipped it on the album every time, left it off my homemade compilations, turned the radio off when it came on etc

Then I watched the live performance on the Brits and it made my spine tingle. Now I appreciate it as much as everyone else!

I would have to say the song "7". I don't dislike the song, but it doesn't do anything for me. It's just one of those Prince songs that's just there. I'll sing to it when he plays it in concert like in 2004 but it's just my least favorite of his hits.

I like Let's Go Crazy live, but I don't like the hit version...

Oh, and this wasn't a hit, but it's definitely a hit here: I don't like Adore.

It took me the longest 2 appreciate Little Red Corvette.Then I heard the xtended version and was hooked on it.

The Most Beautiful Girl In The World. It's a bit much for me, very shreeky and high pitched.

I never really liked Raspberry Beret (although it's growing on me now, after seeing it live and the call and response thing).

TMBGITW is OK but NOT one of my favourites.

I really don't like 7 either.

But I do LOVE Purple Rain.....

Much easier to say which ones you don't like though eh?

I don't know why, but everytime P covers a song (I've already known from another artist) he seems to ruin it, or at least ruins the way I feel about the song. Even his version of Nothing Compares To You on The Hits.
For me, this song is Sinéad's.
The only cover I love (I learnt it was a cover HERE!!) is "Betcha By Golly Wow". Maybe it's because he sounded so tender waiting for that baby, and then the story... You know, it was so damn sad...
