F.U.N.K: How Many Would Like An Entire ALBUM That Sounded Like This?

After hearing 'F.U.N.K' and being blown away by it (took me back to my awe at hearing the music of 'TRC' for the first time) and seeing all the great reviews on ITUNES UK (many think it's Prince's best track in years) how many would like to hear an entire Album in this style?

Who wants to party like it's 1987 with a contemporary twist?

Who wants Prince sounding helium voiced, madly creative and insanely FUNKY again?

Count me in!

Not me. I never cared for his Camille type sound. The only version of the song I have is the one where Jakesaurus removed the Camille effect. I like the music though, so I would love an instrumental version.

I would love to hear a whole album in this style of music, but a whole album with that voice could work the nerves after a while. Special fx are best in small doses! The music is awesome...

Not a whole album of songs just like it, but with the same energy, absolutely.

I was going to say something like that. The energy and the fire in a lot of his work recently hasn't been anywhere near to this kind of energy on F.U.N.K. and I hope to God that the next CD has all that and more. I didn't realize how much energy and fire was missing in his work untill I heard this song.

I'd prefer if he'd work with Warner Bros. to just put out the Camille album as it was intended. with a bonus disc of stuff in the same vein (ex. Dream Factory, Crystal Ball, Scarlet Pussy, etc.)

the song is nice, but I don't know if doing a whole Camille-type album in 2007 that isn't the original Camille album interests me. it would probably be great. but still....

Not a whole album. It's when his albums try too hard to sound a certain way that he runs into troubles. And I mean that in the sense that when things try too hard to sound the same, it doesn't work. When he tries to make things too eclectic, it doesn't work either.

That's why I like "Planet Earth" so much. It's eclectic, but it doesn't sound too forced. He sounds a lot more relaxed than he has in years. And like he's not trying too hard, like he has so often on albums like Rave and 3121.

not a whole album, perhaps a couple of tracks only. i'm not really bothered about funk unless it's in a club where i'd b the first on the floor & the last off. not quite the same funking around the house with the dustbin lids(kids) under ur feet...
funk always reminds me of dodgy american detective tv like kojak & shaft ?the streets of san francisco, mullet hairdos, flairs & pimps neutral
