Hang on....this is Prince's "protest" record in response to PFU, right? The same PFU that garnered the little man more publicity (some not so good, but raising profiles yet further nonetheless) around the world? The same track that he wanted posting on PFU and the other site he registered?
The whole furore is a matter of principle isn't it? Freedom of image rights v freedom of speech and all that. Prince, I'm positive, wanted this track in the open for free, 'cause he's nice like that, and that was his way of progressing the dialogue between him and us...And fair play to him. It was a great gesture, highly amusing, typically Prince, and we all liked to believe, pretty darn cool. And someone at iTunes is charging 79p for it. Ain't that called "bootlegging?"
