i FOUND THIS AT A 99CENTS STORE LAST NIGHT ....

NIP Prince EMANCIPATION 3-Cassette Set 1996 Long-Box and they had loads and loads of them. I had no idea that this album was made in cassette format and when I checked on ebay the starting bid is 1.99..... I thought I found a collecters deal of the century but instead I think I found major NPG records overstock especially if they're selling this at the 99cents store which is the last place on earth I thought I'd find an item by Prince

years ago i found one store trying to sell one of the three cassettes separately
each time i went into the store, i'd pull it off the shelf and tell them it's a 3-cassette album
and each time they'd put it back on the shelf after i left
wouldn't been so bad if they weren't trying to sell it for full price

No one uses cassettes anymore, too fragile... CDs is the way to go

Unless you drive a really old car and don't have a CD player

I don't know what's sadder, that you thought it would be a collectors item or that you never expected to see a Prince album at a .99 store.

Do they actually make Cassete Players anymore.

My area 99 cent store has them too, from time to time. My dad bought one and never opened it. I wanna get one too, But I'd either have to dig out my old boom box, or buy a cassete player.

I bought a whole shitful of 'em last year at a dollar sore.
I've got four of 'em under each of my stereo speakers (so that they don't touch the floor)
and the rest of 'em,
I'm unraveling the tape inside the cassttes & using 'em for ribbons on this years holiday presents.

In short,
I'm definitely getting my money's worth outta 'em.

i remember a long,long time ago.i saw it at a dollar store and thought "who the hell would buy this?".this was when his career was on the outs u know,with the whole symbol thing.and obviously before i was the diehard i am today and owned that(on cd),not to mention too many others to even count.

i keep getting compliments on my scent ... and as happy as i would be to find it that cheap, i also DON"T wish 2 c it there for that prince. And about 3 years ago, I too saw soem Emancipation cassettes. I put them in the front, cuz i was going to buy them,.. but then left it at the last minute. the first time I got Emancipation, it WAS on tapes. hahaha I didn't have a CD player and was too young too afford my own. Of course, later i got the CDs.
