album covers - the worst and best

he has made some truly rubbish album covers (which just proves, dont judge a book by its cover)
but which do you consider as the worst of them all?
and also, which do you consider his best?

I think they just did some things with the lighting to give it that disco look (it's very late '70's,) in order to, not so much "make him look darker" but to "not make him look so light"...if that makes any sense.

His album covers used to be great up until 1996. Then he started on independant lables and putting out lousy covers and graphics that look like some amature graphic arts major did them. I don't like the Emancipation N.P.S. Rave and Rainbow Children covers/graphics much at all. Musicology and 3121 are ok. I actually like the holograph cover on Planet Earth. I looks professional and reminds me of the Diamonds and Pearls cover from 16 years earlier.
I LOVE the For You, Prince, Dirty Mind,Controversy,Purple Rain,Parade,Lovesexy, Diamonds and Pearls and The Symbol and Come album covers! They are superb,and professional looking!

I like that Purple Rain album cover. Nice shot on the bike...one of the worst is the 1999 album cover...great album but too simple and crayon like to me...
