I don't exactly lose sleep over it, but this in no way makes up for him being left off of that Top 100 list. That was just ridiculous.

No. But I really don't want too. I've seen several clips (live, maybe he's better in the studio) of him and it's just so bad, I can't believe anyone ever let him take a solo. And Cobain is just shit. Seriously, the fucker was a terrible guitarist in every way. Totally overrated because of his death.....

I just took a look at this list, it's a little suspect. First of all, Vernon Reid should not be so low. Anyone who is familiar with his playing knows that he destroys Kurt Cobain on guitar, and Prince for that matter ( even though I love Prince).

Why is Billy Corgan on this list?

This is why lists suck.

I agree too smile Al Di Meola, Joe Satriani, John McLaughlin, Django Rheinhardt, Larry Carlton, PAT METHENY, Charlie Christian, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Julian Bream, Chet Atkins, Dave Wilcox, oh the list is endless. Yes Prince is very very good but solely as a guitarist he has a lot of peers. And I know he would agree in an instant wink

Now as a musician...

dude this lists was made by a U.S. poll...
don't likeit, blame the americans...
I think the lists is fine...
BTW being a good soloist doesn't make you a Good guitarist it makes you a good soloist...
Rhythm first, Melodic interpretations, Soloing technique, and overall Guitar timbre...(IE harmonics, and technological uses)
A guitarist who encompasses all that...
Is a great guitarist...
IE Frank Zappa...

I agree with u EmbattledWarrior..... prince fanatics don't listen to others..... they have prince inside licking the wet roof from their little pink assholes.

Prince is a great guitarist....The guitar league is massive and everyone has their own favorite guitar top ten. It's undebatable to say who is the best and who is the worst.

Cool. He should've been on the original list, without a doubt, but Eddie Hazel not making the original list is just criminal. I guess they never heard Maggot Brain... cool
