Over the last ten years...

Over the last ten years, I have listened to various artists, though
The artist I have listened to as much as I have listened to Prince, would
be Jonathan Butler....

What other artist do you guys listen to, almost as much as Prince? cool

I listen to very few artists these days.
I'll occasionally pick up from CD's I've had for a while.

The past ten years 4 me have been:
Boy bands (ended with the short-lived Dream Street)
Going aimlessly thru singer/songwriters
Sticking by Jesse McCartney (from the late-Dream Street) for the past 5-6 years.

Once I found Prince, that was about it.
I've experimented with a couple of groups, but didn't find anything else to stick.

I'll listen to Aly & AJ and Jesse on occasion, but very little.

Isn't this more like a Music: Non-Prince thread? confuse
Anyways, I listen to a whole bunch of other artists and I listen to them more than I listen to Prince.
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Before I got the Planet Earth CD, I was totally into Brazilian music, Shakira, Nirvana, Green Day, SiSe, Evanessence, and classical/violin. Also, on a local radio station they had a Prince 'show' every week on Tuesdays from 3-6 pm which I always listened to. Unfortunately the DJ moved to NY and that time slot was replaced.

I still am into all my music but recently it's been just Prince...when I find something I like I will listen to it constantly until I've exhausted the CD, then will play it when I have a feeling for it.

Right before Prince, it was all SiSe, and now if I turn them on, I can't even listen to them cause now it's all Prince (and my classical violin)!

Jamiroquai is the only current artist I listen to other than Prince. There are a ton of artists from the 1970s and 1980s that I listen to just as much as or more than Prince....it's just according to what mood I'm in when I play music. Prince was always my favorite but I never listened to just him.

Tell us more about Jonatahan Butler! Don't know him but I reckon anybody you've listened to as much as Prince must be worth an earshot

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I haven't listened to any artist as often as I've listened to Prince for about 24 years, but I'm guessing Madonna and The Beatles would be tied for a distant second.

Mariah Carey, George Michael, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, Blue October UK and Tori Amos are in my top after PRINCE.

There is so much good music out there, but PRINCE always tops my list as most listened to.

Oh Wow...you can't believe how many times I have heard that...It shocks me...
A beautiful guitar player, with a great band...a beautiful voice...

All I can tell U is buy his records....They are worth every note...As Prince
is too, as well as many other artists...It's just that a life span doesn't
allow...spreading yourself so thin as a listener, that emotional songs don't
thoroughly touch you....

So we all have our stack of favorites, and some artists on the shelf may never
be heard....What can ya do?

Plenty, but the top non-Prince artists lately are Radiohead, NIN, and Nirvana.
