Come vs. Come On

I have for you the songs Come (from Come) and Come On (from New Power Soul). Which do you prefer? I like Come On's slow drag beat with the soft touch of the keyboards. And like the guitar solo as well but I like Come just a little bit better. Its raunchy and sexy all at the same time. It makes you dance as well. So I like Come.
Peace and be wild!

Come On is in the vein of mid-80's Prince -- very funky drum machine work, playful backup vocals, whimsical synth with some odd distortions, interesting guitar here and there and otherwise pretty minimal. The only good thing I can immediately recall from New Power Soul.

Come, though, has far superior musicianship, orchestration and atmosphere. Sounds like an extended jam session in some smoky juke joint. That bassline is killer, and the horn section adds drama without coming off sounding too I-wanna-be-James-Brownish.

I go with Come.

"Come" isn't one of Prince's greatest songs but "Come On" is shit hop and that's a no-no.

For some reason I'd have to go with Come On more seductive to me.

'Come On' by a mile. 'Come's lyrics are a little silly.

Both are great songs on a couple of superb albums, but "Come" is much more ambitious and easily ranks as one of his best compositions. That being said, "Come On" is a fantastic gem of a tune.
Just say "NO" to cow mucus consumption!

Come goes on way too long. Come On is essentially perfect.
