Shameful Prince Stories

Alright, I know that some of you have done some things to acquire Prince stuff or just to see him that your not to proud of Let's hear it:

Okay nurse-
I have a story... but the names have been changed to "protect the guilty"

A friend of mine and I went to the "Essence Awards" by lying to his wife... (skipping some details) and he dropped her off at the airport after convincing her it was better if she went alone. We went to the show and the afterparty, and got home at 7:30 the next morning!
Her flight had been cancelled and she had spent the night in the airport calling him!

All I can say is... doesn't cover it!
She still looks at me funny with that look.

Well, there was the time that kid in the airport took a picture of Prince, and P had his bodyguard jump the kid... Did the kid ever get back his camera?

There was the time when Prince's camp asked his fans to mail their bootlegs to Paisley Park and I bet some them actually did...

There was the sudden cancellation of the Music Club....

Crystal Ball...

There was that really ugly spate of fan site closures during the 1990s and early 2000s...

Roadhouse Garden...

The Sand Dollar episode -- wait. I must admit: I rather liked that. I laughed quite a bit over that one...

After the Prince concert this past May in SF...we were in front of the theater and out came the Twinz, Morris Hayes and Shelby...they mentioned the name of the club to the afterparty (which was a private party) and me and some other orgers found it and tried to get in, it was so pitiful...we waited outside and one of the twinz came out and said she would let us in if it were not for P's bodyguard...and at the time Erotic City was playing inside.

I was ready to give up, but the other orger we were with insisited on NOT giving up.


it was a pretty pathetic site if u were there to see it.

One more thing, when we were pathetically standing out in front of this "private party" Renato came outside to have a smoke and we got to talk to him!!!

Back In 1989 I called Paisley Park posing as Neal Karlin from Rolling Stone magazine. I told them that I was Neal Karlin from Rolling Stone and asked to speak with Gilbert Davidson. Gilbert was Prince's manager at the time. Well they got him on the phone and from the start I told him that I was just a fan. I then told him that I knew Prince was touring and that if he could get him to come to Fresno Ca. where I lived by. He told me he would see what he could do but that I didn't need to lie about who I was just to speak with him . Needless to say, Prince never came to Fresno during that tour. Do you think he mentioned it to Prince? That's all I have, I'm blushing now.

I haven't posted in over a year but this thread truly made me laugh and I had to share one of the MANY times I've let Prince control me:
I teach elementary school. Each day we receive a "prep period" for lesson planning. My prep period is between 8:45 and 9:30 everyday. One morning I was having a near heart attack trying to figure out how to get tickets to a concert during school time. If I waited until lunch, they'd be sold out. So I just decided that I'd take a taxi the 20 blocks to the nearest Ticketmaster outlet during that early orning prep. Of course, we are not supposed to leave the building during the prep period, so I'm trying to go unoticed as I exit the building sneaking past security and parents who've just dropped kids off for the day. Now, I make it to the street to hail a taxi but, it's rush hour and there are no empty taxis. Just as I was about to panic and go back, I hear a car horn honk and it's the mother of one of my students! She yells "hey where are you going" SO I decide not to lie as things were bad enough already and to my surprise she says "Jump in. I'll drop you off"
Happy ending: I got those tickets before tickemaster sold out!!

There was this time that Prince was coming to Detroit and the tickets sold out in like a half a millisecond. Totally bummed a friend of mine and I got dressed in our sexiest attire and went down to the venue where it was taking place with full intention on getting the attention of someone who would be able to get us in the show. Wouldn't you know it, the head of security was the first to take the bait.

Cool, right? WRONG!! He looked like Flava Flav and Bubba Gump's love child! I'm cringing just writing this! I promised I'd let him take me out if he got me and my girl into that concert. I'd called him everyday til the concert all sweet and nice. The night of the concert, he got us in, got us good seats, not great mind you, he said he couldn't get us backstage, the punk but our seats were good!

Long story short, the show was great, me and my girl had a ball! This heffa was supposed to double date with me and the love child but on the night we were to go out, she couldn't go so I went alone.

This man took me to every person's house he ever met, just to show me off! The cheap bastard didn't even take me out to eat, just visiting! When I got home I told him to loose my phone number and forget where I lived!

I was tired, hungry and pissed but my memories from the show were worth it! Damn that little skinny motherfucker with the high voice!!!
