i no that Rick James didnt like prince and i heard sumthin about Marvin Gayve not liking prince. any more?

Yeah, I remember the day because I was listening to the radio and the DJ announced it. I thought it was an April Fools joke. The DJ was very serious and kept stressing that it was NOT a joke! So Sad!!!

Interview took place in June-July 2004 and Prince even did a few of his songs in the acoustic set on several dates after his death and recently covered "Give it to me baby" late last month.

Boy George---he's made several less-than-flattering comments about Prince throughout the years.
Jackie Collins---she sued Prince in the mid-90s,claiming that he stole her idea for the "Get Wild" perfume or something like that,lol.
Lita Ford---she's that stupid 80s hard rock singer I heard that,in 1984,she held up a Prince poster at one of her shows,and made fun of his "feminine" looks.



btw,Marvin Gaye never had any problems with Prince.In 1979,he jokingly mentioned that there is a "new cat in town named Prince who thinks he's badder than me" and it inspired him to record the 'Love Man' album which was never released.

I think the author of the thread made it clear that he wants to know about people who DON´T or DIDN´T like Prince, and that also includes dead people.

Rick James doesn´t count anymore, see the post above , and about Marvin Gaye I´m not so sure...read Dave Ritz´ bio " Divided Soul " for more info. Marvin didn´t really like Prince because he saw a rival in him but I´m too lazy to look it up now.

I don't think Russell Simmons is too fond of Prince,but I could be wrong I've read some unflattering comments he has made about Prince.

Chuck Norris. Apparently, Prince usurped him, once, at a Wendy's Burger restaurant, just outside of Toledo... Chuck has never forgiven Prince and has also forsworn vengeance on his offspring!

Elizabeth Taylor---In 1984,she was a huge Prince fan.She loved the 'Purple Rain' movie and soundtrack.In 1985,she invited Prince to her home for dinner and was offended when he arrived with bodyguards,who insisted on inspecting her home before he came in!! She angrily asked Prince "Did you think I hired assassins?".A few days later,Prince tried to apologize by sending her some crystal doves.She sent it right back,and has never spoken to him since.

He ruined his career through his own stupidity, Prince is a mega star and has been for over 25 years. Of course Boy George doesn't like Prince. Rick James?
At one time Prince was his opening act. Compare careers. Of course he didn't like Prince.
