A common tuning scale...and EADG4 is a book by John Falstrom written with the intention of teaching the bass guitarist what music theory is and how it works on the fretboard of the bass guitar.

Not that I was real proficient with reading music or using tradition music theory. We played more to what sounded right with what we were doing. Nothing major, but I played.
