Maybe he's going to try to promote and sell it like he did with the moonwraps and he'll call it the FunkGirdle or something. I'd buy one and come to his concert wearing it, shaking my tamborrocca, and reeking to high heavens of Get Wild perfume.

At first I was a bit irritated by the fact that Prince nearly always has to be so cryptic - I was like, "Come on, just tell us something already, otherwise I'll become so curious and then disappointed when I find out what it is for sure." lol

I think I like it better this way because of threads like these. touched If only Prince knew how much he amused us. lol

Thinking of this again, with all of the simulated television reception thing going on, it could be a televised worldwide satellite broadcast of a concert.

This is the voice of the Misterons...

He's doing a concert on the moon so thst everyone has "front row" seats on "Planet Earth" and he can charge everyone $17,000 a ticket. He's a master of marketing!

or its a world tour.

And yet its got 3121 all over the back of it.

I think 3121 is officially a Prince concept now. Much like Paisley Park, the New Power Generation and the updated symbol that was the title of his 1992 album. Those concepts appeared as songs/references/titles before he took them on as ideals that stretched beyond the projects that they first appeared on.

Personally, this looks like an album to me. The picture is square like a CD cover and it says that it's 'Coming Summer 2007' which suggests a project rather than just one song (even Prince wouldn't be stupid enough to hype up one song so many months in advance) and surely a World Tour would say something akin to 'Starting Summer 2007' or 'Coming Soon' if Prince wasn't sure of the dates.

I love the potential cryptic messages on the pic. The symbol rests on the North Pole, Prince is wearing a corset which represents something that's holding in something that could otherwise blow out and the explosion sound at the end of the 3121.com flash also gives off this vibe of something that will blow out soon if we're not careful. He's wearing red which could symbolise Mars and therefore male and the male is surrounded by the corset (generally female) which suggests being 'controlled' by female and that thing of Earth being considered female (Mother Earth). . .

God, I hope Prince really is using sexuality metaphors again. I loved the cover of 3121, but this new pic/flash just demands speculation and detailed examination.

For those who haven't gotten the imagery:

"Earth" is usually referred to as feminine. Notice that the Prince symbol is a blend of the biological symbol for male and female. Does knowing the feminine apparel that prince is wearing make more sense now?

That's funny you said that. .the first thing I thought when I read the comments about the corset and the Earth was "Mother Earth" (I know it sounds cheezy but hey, that's what came to mind when seeing the image of the corsett with the earth in that picture) brick<--Ouch!!..that hurts!..okay you can stop that now. lol )

Yes, I had the same idea as far as "Mother Earth" ...I mentioned the same earlier on VioletBrown's post.

Prince is tired of the unrelenting 'short jokes' he's had to endure his entire life, and this picture represents his desire to become huge and crush us all like tiny bugs.

Nice girdle. I wonder: behind that globe, he is wearing a garter belt and fishnets, a la Dr. Frank N. Furter?

The personal irony.
I was all about the new doc Planet Earth and then I see this thread (I'm usually over at the non-prince forums). Coincidince? Hmmmm.
I was aware of the doc way before the Prince-titled thing. Guess I'm "slipping". wink
Regardless, the ride is run.

hopefully these are actually lyrics to a song (if they have to exist at all, that is) instead of the same sort of embarassment that shows up at the beginning of One Song.
