What previous P songs can we hear influences from in 'Guitar'?

Many Prince songs from a given point in time can be heard to be containing influences from his own previous work, but I don't think I've ever heard a Prince song before that seems to contain so many influences from P's own back catalogue as 'Guitar' does.

I've personally heard influences from 'When Doves Cry', 'Girls & Boys', 'Good Man', 'Jerk Out' and 'Shake'. Others have mentioned 'Lolita' and 'Neon Telephone'.

Has anybody heard any more or anybody think that none of the songs mentioned can be detected in the song?

Musically,it reminds me of a cross between both 1980 and 1986.

It reminds me of:

"Girls & Boys"
"Horny Toad"
"Jack U Off"

I'm reminded of a mix between "Get Your Groove On", meets "Vavoom", meets The Beatles - You Can Drive My Car.

If you sing along with "Guitar" you can sing:

(etc.)

from Girls and Boys - and it fits almost perfectly with the rytyhm/melody of the verse in Guitar.

Definately Vavoom that was the 1st song that immediately came 2 mind and also a hint of Do It All Nite 4 the bass of course.

To me, it has a strong Prince & The Time groove from 1980-1981, and that might be the only reason why I really like it.

Its a weird mix of sounds, in the sense that it seems to mix elements from his whole career:

- The basswork reminds me of Do it tonight (1980)
- The drums are similar to that of Get your groove on (1996)
- The stattaco synth (and guitar?)-riff reminds me of the Around the world in a day-era (1985) or Take Me with You (1984)
- The rather detached sounding vocals and guitar-solo's remind me of 3121 (2006)
- Some extra added handclaps and beats remind me of 3121 (2006)

I`m hearing "Back in the USSR" by the Beatles, and "Shake" and "Neon Telephone" by Prince.
