I just got this CD, and I LOVE IT! Anyone agree?

Next you need to get the concert footage from Dortmund.

To your information, there ISN'T a remastered tracked version of Lovesexy.

In some european countries (The Netherlands, Germany i know about) the CD has been released as a tracked version, but the mastering, and therefore the soundquality is the same as the non-tracked version.

Today i was listening to Lovesexy and it sounded more 'thin' then i rememberred, the bass isnt really deep, and because of the flat mix the many layered chords and melodies dont sound seperated enough all of the time. That makes this one of the Prince-cd's that need remastering the most (the others being Around the world in a day, Parade and Sign of the Times)

You're right; the tracking comes from Europe. I never knew LS wasn't tracked until I read you guys complaining on here. lol

BUT fans have remastered this version using amateur tools and circulated it; they basically just put nice effects on it to add bass, etc. It's not a great improvement. Not worth the download. The fan-remastered SOTT on the other hand...

Excellent album, but the mood was different, the age was different.
Still like it a lot (maybe hoping to get that feeling back again), but don't feel completely what I felt then.
proves only that time has the power to chance everything...

Find a parade, and get in front of it!

i have a tracked bootleggage version (or 'fan-remastered', whatever) and it sounds great. i also have a 'fan-remastered' version of the black album that sounds unbelievable. i have the SOTT one, too - i was more impressed that they edited the whole album down to one disc than anything else. smile

i think they're all better than the originals, sound quality-wise. how much better, and could they be made even better? i dunno. if you can find them as free downloads or whatever, i'd say grab 'em.
