As backing music to Marat Safin playing tennis on The Crowd Goes Wild, an NZ TV sports programme. They use his live version of Nothing Compares 2 U WHENEVER they show foootage of the Russian Tennis Star, as they think he is sexy and it is their segment on the sports show for the ladies.

On TV, the channel 4 advert for Ugly Betty, which is about to start here in the UK (U Got The Look). Apart from that XFM played SOTT and WDC a few weeks back in the run up to the UK Hall Of Fame.

They played a little bit of Diamonds & Pearls on TV for the NYE Sydney Harbour Fireworks.

On NYE, while waiting for the Robert Randolph concert to start, they played the "RAVE unto the Year 2000" DVD on the big screens in almost its entirety...
I jammed right up until the concert, then jammed until almost 2 am!!!

I heard "Little Red Corvette" in the grocery store the other day and it got me to thinking how things have changed since the days when you only heard elevator music in the grocery stores. Some of the "Parade" album would have been perfect for them back in those days.
