ANCIENT PRINCE SITES!!

I was just browsing a lot of fansites and I just cant beleive how ancient they all are!! Some, if not most of them, havent been updated for literally years!!! And, with some, u click the link and the site has been taken down!! sad sad sad

To me, it just shows how dead the online Prince community and online interest in Prince really is!! Its a far cry from what it used 2 b like years ago!!! sad sad sad

Well, Prince did bring legal action to a bunch of people, that kinda scares others off.

Actually, the online community is getting bigger and bigger each year it seems - especially since Prince became Prince again and is releasing slightly more commercially accessible music (you can argue that this is a good thing or a bad thing, but that's another topic). Back when I got into it in c.1999/2000, Prince was still viewed as a whack-job by the general public.

The difference is that many of the smaller fan sites have given up because: a) they realise they can't compete with the bigger fan sites in terms of quality and quantity (ie. why bother going to all the effort maintaining a fan site when sites like prince.org and housequake.com keep everyone up-to-date anyway?), and b) they're scared of Prince suing their asses (which he has a habit of doing!).

There are still a lot of smaller fan sites, but a lot of the good ones remain "under the radar" so to speak smile.

So far,
that was my favorite episode of History Channel's "Engineering An Empire".

Y'know it's hosted by Robo-Cop, don't you?
