QUESTION FOR THE EUROPEANS

ONA tour like the US tour as described by many on the Org? Or, Mix it up a bit with what went on at the celebration and recent mutterings of an accoustic set?

Whaddya reckon? I wouldnt mind a bit of accoustic stuff thrown in and some of the TRC stuff taken out... Especially Mellow Mellow... Thats a dull song. Muse to the pharoah is quite boring too (Well it is on the Chicargo boot anyway). And whats with the mixing up rollercoaster and 1+1+1...?

As much as I'd love to hear TRC live, I think I'd like an acoustic set the most. I've seen Prince do the big stadium concert thing many times, none of us are getting any younger including Prince, I'd love to check out what else he can do. He could do a really great jazzy acoustic set I reckon...

I've not seen the ONA shows in the states, so I'm not sure how TRC would translate to a live act. I'm worried it might end up looking and sounding like Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat or something biggrin

man, i'd love to see and hear the TRC title track live. i heard it on some boot and that kinda blew me away. whether the set is more acoustic, or jazzy, that doesn't really matter to me. i just hope he doesn't let the crowd sing to much like he's been doing the last few years. and i hope he will be playing complete songs again. them medleys are starting to get on my nerves!
don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
purple music does the same to my brain
i'm high, so high

Eye definitely prefer an all acoustic set. But the general public would not appreciate it.

My guess is, that heĀ“ll incorporate it in2 the show or oh well... u know Prince maybe he would just cancel the acoustic set.

Anywayz he needs 2 get his little behind on the road: 2 EUROPE! yay!

I'd prefer some TRC to a totally acoustic set but I dont really mind what he does as long as it's at a relatively small venue.

Saw the ONA show during the Xenophobia week and it's great. It should be shown 2 Europe so they know that Prince is back from not being gone!!!

I would prefer usual ONA set over an all acoustic set. He can do an acoustic guitar set instead of the piano medley if he wants to (or change it everytime) or at aftershows. Rather not at the usual concert.

Having seen the ONA x2 at Xenophobia I definitely want to see the acoustic when he comes to London

Ceyb

An acoustic set wouldn't last 2 or 3 hours...
The acoustic part should be part of an plugged concert.
Why not thematic nights, like at the celebration ??
Jazzy, rock, ...

An all accoustic set wouldnt do him many favours in terms of picking up new fans, it would be more for the hardcore. But mix up the piano medly with a few unplugged guitar numbers would be great.

And replace a few crappy covers that he was doing in the US I reckon.

But I think after we get the live CD set, then I think that is what we would all wanna see live anyway...

Either way, I hope he gets his ass over here soon, Im off to Africa for a year in a couple of months time!!!

I don't know Ceyb, this would mean that you would have to go to every concert to see the whole shebang (costly).

I am sure Prince will choose one style of show for Europe (it will probably be a little different to the US shows based on his past tours). He will probably keep the same format and setlist every night with maybe one or two changes (e.g. trying out newly written songs or playing songs he knows go down well in certain countries).
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I'd love to see Prince play at a venue like Ronnie Scotts - can you imagine?

Now THAT would be something else! I loved the big like last time at Brixton - it would be nice to see a bit of both but it would be a dream to see him do that jazzy stuff at Ronnie's

;O)

I would like an acoustic set ONLY IF HE'S NOT ALONE !!
At least have Blackwell on drums & Rhonda on double bass.
Bring Wendy & Lisa would be fantastic, but i don't expect it much sad

I'd also think he should play in Jazz festival now, there are tons of it during the summer in europe.

Yeah that'd be cool - It's too late now, but I was thinking he should've done something at the Notting Hill Carnival at some point. Imagine him tearing it up with Days of Wild!!

*peace*
