prince always paid attention what goes on in music buisnes.
his early albums had new wave influance when new wave was hip,rap when rap was hip.
life of the party middle section reminds on black eyed peas.
gnarls barkley are the most refreshing new act in popular music.

prince knows it he likes them,he invited them to perform on 3121 vegas.
prince even peformed crazy last week.

I'm not so sure. remember, OutKast are sooooo inspired, they made an entire double album homage to Prince and he's done nowt that sounds like them.

I think, he'll make what he wants and then we'll all argue about it.

It's cool he's doing Crazy, however... though, I wish he'd just release everything in the vault and then give himself justification for playing his fans other people's songs!

I just don´t get Gnarls Barkley. What do people like about them , especially that song Crazy is soooo annoying. I´ve seriously tried to listen with an open mind and just don´t see anything special about them.

Has their name anything to do with Charles Barkley ?

Crazy's a lovely tune. Quite like their videos... much more, in fact, than their music, to date.

Charles Barkley? Is he one of the famous Barkley Brothers? Captors of Kubla Khan and the only men in christendom to be able to write their names with both their right and left hands?

There isn't one due until at least 2008.

maybe it's just me, but 'crazy' seems to be the only real 'stand-out' track on the album, I wouldn't say it was inspiring. Even that reminds me of something else ive heard somewhere.

So far, I also love Who Cares?

yes i think they are they incorporate old soul music with ennio morricone guitar like (see movie once upon a time in a west,or good bad evil) with modern beats.
i think they have their uniq sound.i rate them much higher then those group that had hit with "clint eastwood"(you know the group with damon albourn from pulp) and demon days.
i rate them higher then outkast
