Michael Jackson and Prince recording together

I think the two would blow the roof off if they recorded a song together, I know they have two different musical styles but if they both showcased their strengths in the song, they'd make mo money, mo money, mo money. Of course, the song would have to be written by Prince. Do you think their egos could allow them to record a song together?

Prince is perceived as weird enough. He shouldn't go anywhere near MJ.

EmbattledWarri
or

it wouldn't
it might be the last chance for both artist to bank anytype of recording revenue...
but i still don't like it
the styles are completely different...
and they would sound odd in a song together...

Why not. Prince will just bury Mike's voice so far down in the mix you wouldn't be able to tell if he was MJ, Gwen or Kate Bush. shrug

I am not sure about this as well, as much as I love both of them. Their music might go together, somehow, but their voices not - I don´t know.

The only way it would work if these two drag queens really went all out for it in the video and just dolled upto the nines, and gave it a real 'Baby Jane' edge.

Otherwise it would just be another modern day Prince yawn, interspersed with incomprehensible yelps and hiccups from Jackson.

I think it would be absurd but I would still like to see it happen. First Prince would write the song, play all the instruments and produce it himself. He would then do all the backround vocals, high and low and layer them into the song. He then would fire the director of the video and record it himself. He would do all the dance moves minus the splits and have Michael say Ow! Prince would then make it available for download at his new site. The only contribution I can see Michael doing is saying the Ow! part. Enough said.

If they'd have done it sometime in the mid-eighties, It would've been great(Not MJ's offer to have Prince sing on "BAD") Right now? NOT!!! It would be worse then Michael and Eddie Murphy's duet "Whazzzup Wit U" That song SUUUUUCKED!!!
