seems almost impossible. Some people want more touring (outside of the US), others want more studio records.
Whenever he's touring, people are complaining about the setlist. Some want only 80's hits, others want only new songs.People not only criticize his music, but his women, his friends, his haircut...everything.

stop asking me what *I* want and go play guitar. If I don't like what I hear, I won't listen to it again.

I don't think poor Prince could ever do enough to make some of you people here happy.

Prince can't do enough obviously because after all he's done, all the albums, tours, live TV appearances, Friday nite parties, aftershow jams, open soundchecks, and other things, you will still have some people here complaining. Never satisfied. And that says what? The poor and ignorant you have with you always.

If I were him, I'd be nervous/hesitant to make any move, simply because people are soo critical and hard to please. Whatever he does or doesn't do, he'll be torn apart for by his fanbase and media. And this is a man who is still the shy/quiet type (especially during interviews and stuff).

All I would ask him to do, is keep making music, as long as you want, and make it available.

When he gets tired of writing music, I'll have atleast 30 something albums to keep my stereo occupied. That's about 20 more albums than your other 'Pop Icons' have produced.

So I'm happy and I'll be happy...

? is - what can we do to make him happier. Uh maybe, we should all appreciate his talents more. Right? Sometimes I don't think people realize the work that can go into a recording. The Man sings from is heart, when he is angry, sad, happy, in a party mood, spiritual, etc. We not only get music, lyrics, poetry, he shares his intermost self with us. He just lays it all right out for us to see. My heart just bursts. I don't think some appreciate him like they should.

It would make me very happy if Prince started wearing bikini briefs at concerts again.

I would be happier with him if he would:

1) Dump Larry - he's just riding on Prince's coattails
anyway.

2) Go back to cursing and singing about sex -- he was
