I would try to get him started talking about his problems with Warner Bros. & then my guess is that would last longer then 5 minutes.
Once U get started oooooh its hard 2 stop.

i would suggest that he make nice with WB with a rotating deal that lets him put out anything he wants (with WB the right of first refusal) by any means he likes for 4 out of every 5 years. on the 5th year he has deliver and fully promote a commercial album. and he gets to keep all the masters and he gets back the old ones too.

I would ask 3 Questions:

1. Why does he prefer Captain Crunch instead of All-Bran?

2. After that 2 second answer (well, not really an answer but a look of WTF) I'd ask him what was the real story behind the symbol name change?

Was it a contract escape ploy, spiritual search (shedding your name to get deeper understanding into the Question Of U) or both?

3. After a lifelong (from what I can tell) search for spiritual understanding, why did he choose the JW path of spiritual belief and practice?

After a minute of awkward silence,
I'd say to him,
"Listen, we got four minutes of this shit left.
Wanna play 'Rock Rock Scissors'?"

god
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.

nod I am so in touch with that because I would have no clue what to say. I'd probably say something stupid like, "Um. I like your music. A lot. Like, really a lot." And then the awkward moment of silence would follow. But it would still be present. I mean, I could map it all out right now but five minutes to talk isn't really enough. It takes me that long to even warm up to someone. lol

Prince claimed that reason for the name change many times. He also had it was for spiritual reasons during other interviews. Anyway, the reason has been chewed on more than gum at this site so it would be interesting to hear it from him.

Yeah, same here! I'd probably be nervous as he..ck smile ,
so I'd be babbling about the weather or something silly,
and maybe I'd throw in a line or two
about how much I dig his music.

Ideally though, if I didn't have to talk,
I would have liked, nay loved,
to dance with him! (For some reason, I often find it easier
to dance than talk biggrin ).

Just Give me the Keys. And nobody gets hurt, see.

Now, back away, I'll go into the vault and make sure not to listen to anything. I just want to see, I promise.

I'd seriously love to talk to him about art--who is his favorite (visual) artist, why, favorite painting/scuplture, which museums has he been to...

If he doesn't have an answer I'd offer to take him to any museum and give him a tour. biggrin

I'd also ask to see his bookshelves. You can tell a lot about someone by what kind of books they have on their shelves. A good bookshelf can be very sexy. Then we can talk about books.

cool
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.
