I Love U In Me - Some of Prince's most unique songs don't feature drums or guitars Just listening to the B-Sides set yesterday, and quite apart from being blown away by some of the songs (I've been a fan for 15 years, and sometimes forget that, despite everything, 1980-1988 really was an unparalelled time of creativity for our lil man), I listened to I Love U In Me and found myself thinking that it is so unlike any other Prince track because of the lack of drums and guitars, the 'raindrop' sound of the keys, and the understated nature of the vocals and the background synths.

Let's also not forget to give a nod to 'ILUBIDTUA,' best track off of Rave. Actually, it's not.

At the root of listening to music with the ear is the voice News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Which other songs don't feature drums (or drums and guitars), and does my theory hold up?
The Family's version of "Nothing Compares 2 U" Unequaled - even by that crazy broad Shine-head. ~This brown experience made me the man that I was meant to be~
