What songs on 3121 you don't/can't listen to?

What songs on 3121 you don't/can't listen to?

For me it's:

1) 3121
2) Lolita
3) Satisfied
4) Get On The Boat

Sorry, just can't get into these. I love Incense and Candles, The Dance, The Word, but the above 4 just aint happenin' I can't even play these for friends out of embarrasement.

Indeed it's an abomination. I've yet to make it all of the way through, its so bad. A real lame attempt to pander to 16 year old kids..shitty modern R&B with that godawful production.. Yeah i hate it!

Yeah i dont like it either..its too childish. Maybe that's the point. Incense and candles is in a league of its own though when it comes to badness.

After a solid week of almost non-stop listening I've decided that there are just 3 songs I don't need to hear.

Black Sweat
Satisfied
The Boat

Maybe in a few years I'll feel differently. I just recently dicovered I now like Strange Relationship after almost 20yrs.

What am I supposed 2 do when the President can't get nothin' passed?

For me, it's "Get On The Boat" - I could never get into it. The album ends with "The Dance" for me.

KoolEaze	Easily Lolita. Closely followed by Satisfied, which is not really that bad, but he has done similar stuff before, only better.Still better than that horrible On The Couch. I like 3121 but Lolita and Satisfied are the two songs I always skip.

Incense and Candles
Beautiful, Loved and Blessed.
The Dance.

Every other track is good, in terms of the good, accessible songs: filler ratio, only Diamonds and Pearls and Sign O' The Times compare, in my opinion.

Prince does Lovesexy better than I do, but I do it anyway.

I love this album and I almost always play the whole thing through but if I do skip any it's Beautiful Loved and Blessed.

Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

PurpleCharm	Satisfied - sounds too much like On The Couch Get On The Boat-I actually like the song, I just can't get past The Dance becuase after I play it once, I have to put it on repeat and play it over and over. BLB-I like it but it slows down the flow of the album

I have been not cool about Incense and Candles and Get On the Boat, cuz they don't seem like well-fitting songs. But then last night, I listened to the album, and for some reason, they caught my attention. I'll say this much about 3121 - it's a sleeper for sure, as obvious as the songs may sound, there's also lots of ear candy each time you listen.

Novabreaker	"Lolita" doesn't swing much. I like that kind of peppy and cheesy outake-sounding stuff, but this just doesn't have a groove and Prince's vocals have terrible phrasing.

marian	Well I like the whole album. I listen to it all the way through. In fact "rave" was the last prince album that i had skip tracks while listening (the last few ballads)
