Aussie late night talk show giving away purple tickets

An Australian late night talk show called Rove Live is giving away 2 purple tickets on tonight's show! They are going to reveal a secret password later on in the site, but as of yet, they haven't revealed how to enter the competition once you know the password. I'll keep watching and keep you updated.

Can anyone from NSW or Victoria who have been watching the show give us all an update (as you guys have allready seen it due to Day Light Savings)?

I think this comp also applies to New Zealanders.

u have to be over 21 and (I'm sorry, but I was wrong before) it's only open to Australians, not New Zealanders.

I was afraid that it wouldn't be as easy as that. They are gonna make us look like idiot's on tv to get the a ticket.

Surely there cant be that many Aussie fans. I cant even get on that site with a cable connection.

Next Tuesday, 18th April, three of Australia's biggest Prince fans will appear live on Rove Live to compete for the opportunity to take themselves and a friend to see Prince perform live in his LA home.

You must be an Australian resident of 21 years of age or over to enter this promotion.

This isnt fair! I am one of his biggest fans but only 18!!! He BETTER come to Australia (preferably perth!!!) in the next tour!

Winners must be able to travel to LA to see Prince play at his house between May 5th and 14th...

The entry requires you to do two things:

1. Say in 100 words or less why you are Australia's biggest Prince fan.

2. Say in 100 words or less what you would be prepared to do to win this competition i.e eat something weird, shave your head etc)

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE TO ENTER THIS PROMOTION

Only one person can win the prize. In these terms and conditions that person is referred to as an "Entrant". This Promotion has two stages:

Stage 1: A short-list of Entrants will be selected on the basis of their entry forms to appear on Rove Live on 18 April 2006 for the opportunity to compete for the prize. The shortlist will be judged based on the creativity of entries, the three most creative eligible entries will be selected. You will be asked to include a "Password" which will be disclosed live on Rove Live during the program, if you cannot recall the Password you will not be eligible to enter.

Stage 2: The shortlisted Entrants will appear live on Rove Live on 18 April 2006 in the Rove Live studios in Melbourne. The shortlisted entrants will then be required to compete in a competition (the design and mechanic of which will be entirely at the discretion of the producer) live on Rove Live. The winner of that competition will be the winner of the prize.

Therefore, to be eligible You will need to be able to travel to and from Melbourne for an appearance on Rove Live on 18 April 2006 and be able to travel to Los Angeles on 5 May 2006 and return back to Australia on or about 10 May 2006.

Information on how to enter form part of the Terms and Conditions of entry. In order to register for the competition, participants must complete the online entry form, including the Password, by logging onto www.rovelive.com.
Entrants will be required to provide their name together with their current full address, email address, contact phone number and other information included on the entry form to provide a complete and valid entry. Entrants will also be required to answer two questions in 100 words or less as detailed on the entry form. Entries must be the original independent creation of the Entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other person. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be ineligible.
Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia who are currently residing in Australia and who are aged 21 years or over at the time of entry. Entry is restricted to one (1) only per Person. Proof of age will be required. Employees and their immediate family members of the Promoter (Roving Operations Pty Ltd), Universal Music Australia Pty Ltd, Network Ten Pty Ltd and their associated companies and agencies are not eligible to apply. For the avoidance of doubt residents of New Zealand are not eligible to enter.
The competition commences on Tuesday 11 April 2006 at 22.00 (10.00pm) Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and concludes on Wednesday 12 April at 23.59 (11.59pm) AEST.
This promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. All entries will be judged by a panel determined by the Promoter which will nominate a short list of Entrants to appear on Rove Live on 18 April 2006 for the opportunity to win the Prize. The Promoter's decision is final both in relation to the short-list and the ultimate winner of the prize and no correspondence will be entered into.
The short-listed Entrants will receive:
If from outside Victoria, one return economy airfare from their nearest Australian capital city to Melbourne for appearance on Rove Live on 18 April 2006;
If from outside the Melbourne metropolitan region, one night's accommodation in Melbourne at the Como Hotel (room only and subject to availability) or similar on 18 April 2006;
Transfers to and from your accommodation in Melbourne to the Rove Live studio in Nunawading on 18 April 2006.
The short-listed Entrants will be required to sign a Release form permitting the Entrant's image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the Entrant's participation on Rove Live, to appear in connection with Rove Live or the advertising or marketing thereof, in any media whatsoever throughout the world, and the short-listed Entrants will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
The Prize is as follows:
One Entrant and his/her guest (who must also be aged 21 years or over) will win:
a trip to Los Angeles, USA including two return economy airfares from the Entrant's nearest Australian capital city;
3 nights accommodation at The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood;
Transfers to and from hotel and airports in Australia and LA;
Shuttle vehicle from The Standard Hotel to the party in LA;
Exclusive entry to the party and the performance by Prince;
Spending money of AUD$500;
Travel insurance to the value of AUD$100;
All other expenses are the responsibility of the Entrant.
The Prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash. The Entrant must be able to enter the USA. The winning Entrant will need to have or obtain a valid passport and if he/she does not qualify for the USA Visa Waiver Program he/she will be responsible for obtaining a US visa. If the winning Entrant is unable to travel on the date stipulated by the Promoter (5 May 2006 or such other date as is nominated), the Entrant will forfeit the prize and another Entrant will be selected.
Travel and medical insurance will be the responsibility of the Entrant who wins the prize and his/her guest. The Promoter strongly recommends that the winning Entrant and his/her guest takes out appropriate-level travel and medical insurance for travel to the USA. The Promoter does not represent that the contribution of AUD$100 towards insurance as part of the Prize will provide sufficient insurance cover, and the Promoter will not be responsible for any additional payment for insurance over the AUD$100 contribution.
The Entrant (and his/her guest) must agree to strictly abide by the rules governing attendance at the party, including but not limited to dress code, prohibition on any recording devices such as cameras or audio recorders, restrictions on mobile phones and any other restrictions that may be imposed.
The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow an Entrant to take part in any or all aspects of the Promotion, if the Promoter determines, in its absolute discretion, that an Entrant is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the Promotion, including the episode of Rove Live on 18 April 2006 and the Prize.
Network TEN Pty Ltd, Roving Enterprises Pty Ltd, Roving Operations Pty Ltd and all associated agencies will not be held liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
All entries become the property of the Promoter and will be used solely for the purpose of conducting this promotion. All personal details of winning entrants will be stored electronically at the office of the Promoter or its agency acting on its behalf in relation to this promotion. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter. A copy of the Promoter's privacy policy in relation to treatment of personal information collected may be obtained by contacting the Promoter or is available at www.rovelive.com.
It is a condition of entering this competition, and accepting the Prize, the Entrant agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Prize, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the Prize.
In consideration for the Promoter awarding the Prize to the Entrant, the Entrant hereby assigns to Roving Operations Pty Ltd all rights, titles and interest in and to all copyright in any material created pursuant to the Entrant's participation in any aspect of the Prize (Works). The Entrant acknowledges that the Promoter is free to use the Works and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and the Entrant will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning the Prize. Independent financial advice should be sought.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries. The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, mobile communications network, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received by Rove Live on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an Entrant's or any other person's computer, related to or resulting from participation in this Promotion.

It`s bad enough that you have to appear on live television. But I suppose this is a good test to judge just how big a fan we really are. Bugger that being on International television, but this is probably the closest chance I`ll ever get to be in the presents of the Magnificent Purple one.
