Damn. Every store that I go into still have a shitload of the "Specially Packaged" Purple Ticket CDs collecting dust. I'm guessing that the winning tickets might be had in the cut-out bin eventually.

For all Australians watch Rove Live (equivalent to David Letterman or Jay Leno) next week, he is going to have 3 finalists from the Prince Competition on his show. (The competition was only open for 2 hours last year so if u didnt register last night, well you can't win.. never mind)
According to last nights show he will choose one winner out of the three, the winner will also be able to take a friend with her/him to Prince's house.

This means, next tuesday 2 Aussies will win the infamous Purple Tickets. Hopefully the winners are prince.org or housequake orgers .. so we can get the lowdown.If not, they suck.

why do i have a funny feeling that prince is going to cancel the purple ticket party? i think only one person so far has found a ticket (right?), and the deadlines are coming up pretty fast. if he's become as disinterested in the 3121 project as it seems, i can see him cancelling the contest, and NPG/universal offering the one winner some kind of alternate prize. maybe there are no other purple ticket winners because the purple tickets have been yanked?

So are you suggesting May 6 is the night of the private concert, or the date the winners will be announced? If it's the night of the concert, I think that means all the tix have been claimed. May 6 is only 3 weeks away and travel arrangements have to be made, etc.

And I haven't gotten notification yet that my postcard entry was chosen.

The contest ended on the 11th. If all the purple tickets weren't found then, they will be a part of the second chance drawing to be held on the 16th.

My guess is that stores either were instructed to pull those CDs or maybe have them rewrapped.
