Does whoever posted this think that music began only 5 years ago? This post doesn't deserved to be dignified by a response, but screw it. Neptunes got their shit from PRince. Prince has been doing call and response since he started, and call and response starting in freaking Africa hundreds of years ago. Andre didn't invent it. Sade? You gotta be kidding. The song is a Cha Cha, ever heard of it, a rythmn that's been around about 50 years. - Wow...as a brazilian and Jobim fan, I am glad you pointed it. In fact, I was very happy when I heard TAC because the drum pattern is brazilian, not cuban. It´s reminiscent of bossa nova. Maybe Renato introduced him to this style  Peace

Maybe Renato introduced him to this style Yeah, I'm a big fan of his too, but I just don't, thankfully, hear any Jobim (and hardly any bossa nova) in TAC! I'd be afraid that he'd try to venture into the bossa nova genre and completely suck in it. Leave it to those who do it right is what I say (at least for Jobim's songs and bossa nova in general)!  | |
