Which Prince Movie Should he make into a Illustrated Children's Book and Why?

razz Wouldn't it be cool for Prince to put out a kids book, like Madonna and Paul McCartney have. Prince does seem to have a childlike wonder about him in the way in which he perceives the world. He has always talked about color in his music and I think the story of Graffiti Bridge would be far better suited for a kid's book than the awful movie it became. The illustrations in the book could reflect the pastel tones you see in the movie. A story of greed and lust resolving in renewed faith in brotherhood. Maybe we could leave the evil Morris pissing ABC routine out of the book though.

What about Purple Rain, too dark , too sexual for kids obviously? Hey what about Under a Cherry Moon, nope , already a pretty good movie , visually stunning, and black and white (not to mention a shooting at the end).

Anyway , have I found a valid use for Graffiti Bridge story???

it'd go right over the kids' heads. same with the parents.

i remember back in the '90s or so, he was talking about possibly doing a children's book/album/somethin or other...wonder what ever came of that? prolly became vault fodder or overshadowed by another thought in that big ol' head of his.

I think it's safe to say Prince beat you to it. He had an illustrated comic book based on the "Graffiti Bridge" story. I'm too full of Thanksgiving leftovers to go look for it and scan the cover for you, but I think there's a pic in the gallery.
