ONA bootlegs

Has anyone got the bootlegs from the One Night Alone tour. If you do, what one have you got and what does it sound like?

Thanks! I was wondering about the New York show as it looks like a good one to get with all the extras that it has.

New York is not soundboard, audience recordings.
Only Indianpolis is soundboard, and that comes from the radio station promo cd, that 5 track live EP thingy.

There is an extremely good Lakeland, FL CD bootleg that has not been distruted much yet. It's audience, but one of the better audience recordings I've ever heard.
If it breaks when it bends, you better not put it in.

Everything is complete, except for the Oakland recording, that is only 55 Minutes.
Indainapolis, that is 30 minutes...but that is all the radio station promo cd contains.

All other recordings are complete.

I do! I hope he'll release this one (remember the Paisley News about him cutting the NY aftershow?), it's surely slamming!
Chicago is audience too, and it's incredible great!

Anyone know what songs are on the radio ep?

i've got the six disc "one nite ... not so alone" collection. There's some decent stuff on it, but I didn't like his attitude. Especially the whole "tourette's syndrome" speech, and the way he had to beat the audience over the head with the line "no four letter words will be heard on this stage tonight" line like what, three times? We get the point, Prince. I'll NOT be selling this on ebay cuz it was a gift from a dear friend, but damn if it's not 5 hours of my life I'll never get back. I was thrilled at the track selection, but I just couldn't escape how it didn't sound like Prince, It just sounded like a bitter, confused old man. And that's really depressing.

Do NOT solicit for bootlegs on prince.org forums

I didn't know this was against the rules. My thread was deleted on the same subject by Ben. Fair enough. But this thread is deemed legitimate, I'm confused!confused

It's okay to discuss bootlegs here. What's not okay is to solicit them or offer them for sale/trade.

Okay: "Wow, the Small Club bootleg is amazing!"

Not okay: "I'm looking for a copy of Small Club; anyone want to do a trade?"

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I hope Prince releases the N.Y. concert on video. I really can't understand you. You mean fans that call Prince OLD or Confused! Or criticize him for this or that. Why don't you listen to another performer if you don't like Prince's style anymore? What do you Greedy Fans want from Him? You are always Complaining like OLD PEOPLE!!! If I were Prince I wouldn't want you PEOPLE for my FANS! You don't follow his word, you're always criticizing his work and Larrys .And you are always fighting with me or another fan who disagrees and is just trying to stir up some excitement for Prince. Prince is wonderful ! The fans from Minneapolis are so lucky to have seen virtually every concert for free. But still you Complain about going Downtown to the Orpheum and you complain about the ticket prices? Do you know what things cost nowadays? Prince's concerts are cheap in comparison to other artists. I think everyone should just leave Prince alone. I just think you are all jealous of him cause all of the Ladies Love him So much. And he has such power over some of us. Well the day you can Compete with him in any Way, Shape , or Form or Even Musically let me Know . Prince is and will always be my Main Man. I'm married to God ! And Even if I talk Dirty it's alright. There is nothing wrong with Sex ! God Created it. And if 2 are in Love with each other it's a Beautiful thing. Temptation will always be there! We are All Humans. We are not Puritins!

I wasn't selling or trading anything. All I asked was, are there any ONA bootlegs going about & also if they where good quality. Nothing more, nothing less. It was basically the same thread that's here, I wasn't aware of this thread at that time. Still confused. confused

I have heard a few of these, and i think LA and Houston are the really dead on, dramatic shows. houston featured more intense guitar playing which is good on an audio boot.

By the way, Prince totally seems to mess up the lyrics to Joy in Repetition in the NY aftershow, but covers it quickly by saying somehing like "ya'll sung it..." to the audience.

You're right, he was trying to read it from his song book.

By the way, NY Soundcheck and Aftershow are audience recording.

The Chicago show is an audience recording, but the best I have ever heard. It's better than several soundboard recordings I've heard.

The concert is amazing too. Fucking great!

Sometimes it's difficult to tell whether a person is asking for information about bootlegs or actually soliciting them. It's a judgment call.

Jeez!!! I didn't know I would cause so much trouble with this post. I was just curious as to what bootlegs were out there and had anyone heard them. I didn't want to buy or trade from anyone here and I definatley didn't want to get anyone in trouble with Matt and Ben. I understand their concerns about people trading online and respect their wishes.

Platypus
Scientific Name: Ornithorhynchus anatinus
Monotreme
The platypus seems weird to people because it lays eggs and is a mammal, but really it's just a creature that's just very specialized to do what platys do best -- swim, eat, and burrow!
