Which Prince guitar moment made U say DAMN!

This can be live or not, but not the ending of Let's Go Crazy ya'll!

I've said it b 4, but the guitar work in Joy in Repetition, on the Alladin disc, is on fire!

in the middle of the song...you serious?!

not being nasty, but yeah, it slows down in the middle, which is also really

cool, then theres a little solo. nothing too fancy, but i like it all the same.

my best friend goes nuts for the bass in the middle too. again not that fancy,

but sounds great.

GO LISTEN RIGHT NOW!

I know what you mean.

When i first got the album, a very long time ago, I decided i didnt like the beginning of the song so i always skipped through it and it wasnt until a few months later that i saw Purple Rain that I got a fright and I thought that must be an extended version only in the film! But Doh! It was on the album the whole time!

The moral of the story is never judge on 1st impressions!

Now I remember. Diamondgirl's response made me remember. Live, as in the film, it rocks also. Beautiful.

Have you heard the actual extended version of Computer Blue? It's commonly referred to as the "hallway speech" version. Over 11 minutes of amazing "Computer Blue" bliss!

As far as some of my favorite solos:
"Just My Imagination" from the 'Small Club' aftershow
"Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad"
"Pink Cashmere"
"Sensual Everafter" (maybe not a solo, but I love that guitar!)
"I'm Yours"
RRHOF

I really like the guitaring in When Doves Cry. The guitar at the beginning provides a great intro and the solo towards the end takes the song to another level and to an exciting climax. Although not played by Prince, the solo in Little Red Corvette fits the song so damn well. It was even chosen as one the best guitar solos ever.

Beautiful Strange, the live performance at the House of Blues in Hollywood after the Rainbow Children concert on Saturday night. It was absolutely unbelievable and I have no idea why he did not place that performance on the It Ain't Over disc. Absolutely phenomenal. The H.O.B lights were down low with the spotlight on him and his guitar. I am not a professional guitarist and cannot speak on his technical prowess that night, but the passion was there and it was unbelievable. I've never heard such beautiful and HAUNTING sounds on the guitar. He was on another level then. I haven't seen anything like it and probably never will.
