Does anyone here like this song aside from me? It's one of my all time favs, and a lot of non-fans like it too. It beats Cream and Gett Off any day. Nice video too.

Yeah,im so diggin that song-luv it.But I cant say it beats Cream and Gett Off.It has a different vibe than Cream and Gett Off,more romantic-love-kissnhug kinda thing ya know,lol.

I dug it the first few times I heard it, but then realized how poppy and disposable it is, kind of like almost everything else on the album from which it comes.

This song just has a totally unique, awesome sound to it that just blows me away every time I hear it...there's just some thing about it...

I loved it when it first came out and I still love it today!

I HATE that song!!! Purple Rain isn't one of my favorites either but, its way better than Diamond and Pearls.

I like almost all of Prince's slow songs and this one is not an exception. I like the video too and his look during this time was one of my favorites.
I also like Rosie Gaines, too and she's sings there.

D&P is a beautiful song. I love anything he does with Rosie Gaines. It was a nice video too IMO.

i much prefered the way he (they) performed the song at the Special Olympics opening ceremony...

i was like, "damn this song rocks"...then he released the album and we got stuck with the sugar and sweet version...

I did not care so much for this song when the album was released. But now I love it, a very beautiful love song - and yes it's great when it's performed live... together with Nothing Compares 2 U, The Most Beautiful Girl, Scandalous and Insatiable. I love when Prince plays those piano medleys...

I hear it very often played on the radio (in Denmark)... D & P = classic Prince pop song.

Just because this song doesn't 'push the envelope', like a lot of beautifully-crafted P songs, it gets slated.




It's nice to have weird, 'out there', challenging songs - that's one of the reasons I love him. But he's also a composer, a musician, a songsmith. And this is a good example of that.

i love this entire album. i think it´s my favorite. the songs are all really well done, but i don´t think that it beats Gett Off or Cream. the only albums that i like every single song on are Diamonds and Pearls, 1999, and . but i think that rosie´s voice on this track is just amazing. and i love the video. the part where he´s with the children just makes me smile. so sweet.

I loved this song back in 1991,but these days,it doesn't really do much for me.I don't think it has aged very well.
