I prefer the non-holo cover. The blue(euro) cover is more tasteful.

I have the holo cover, but I'd kinda like to get my hands on the blue one as well.

yeah, but the holo-cover distracts you from "jughead" and its horribleness. eek

Remember the reviews when the CD came out? I know at least a few commented on the garishness of the cover.

I think it makes the packaging look dated. And it reminds me of a box of Sugar Smacks cereal, but I don't know why. shrug

I got the holo cover in a 2 feet by 3 feet cardboard promoting the album like 4 years ago. Found it on ebay for like $14.99. Unfortunately, the schmuck sent it out in just a card board box with no protection, just writing in marker that says "DO NOT BEND". Needless, to say, it was bent on the right hand side of the hologram.

2 weeks ago, I found it as a poster with cover pearls behind it but the hologram was still 2 feet by 3 feet I believe. No creases, no bents. It was a lil more pricey than $14.99 so I put it back. I got a bonus in my paycheck and went back to the store and bought it. My girlfriend will be pissed because a friend told her that I wanted it but didn't buy it and she was going to buy it for Valentine's.

Heard she looked all over for it for an hour or so. She is gonna be pissed when she sees it hanging next to the signed "For You" poster. hehe

By the way, the record store had bout 5 copies of the "D&P" holo cover CD still sealed.

the blue cover is still one of his better ones, imo.
it really shows the complete style and frame of mind
that the whole "Diamonds & Pearls" era was set to.

makes me kind of long for the days when his albums
came along with a certain look and attitude, with
matching video's and promo pictures.

it would give the album an extra kind of depth cuz
the whole vibe and look around it would explain it
all a bit better.

My only gripe is that the hologram wasn't of very high quality itself. It's totally blurry and incredibly hard to get anything sensible out of it, unless you get just the right angle from the moonlight or whatever.

Though I'm sure a lot of people at this site consider D&P "commercial" just because it has a hologram cover. C'mon, it had two women on it as well - that's hardcore.
