it's all about the lamppost accident at the end of the clip. lol

Did you catch the part when P was getting ready to go on the stage, he threw one of his lace gloves out in the audience and someone threw it back at him and it hit him...evillol[/quote]

That was some funny shit. P throws the glove and as fast as he throws it, it’s right back at him LOL gotta love that kid. Just like NEFRETIRI said who ever threw that glove wish they had kept it. ha ha ha lol

Also, interesting that MJ wanted Prince up there . . . I think deep down MJ was maybe a little jealous of Prince?

Admiration & jealousy are two different things.....
He probably admire him at that time.....
lol Probably got jealous when "Purple Rain" came out....

MJ saw prince getting really high backstage with some other people.

such a baztard!

Correcton: I watched it again and the glove didn't hit him, but it's still funny as hell. evillol

Did anyone else hear the people near the lamp post gasp as it was getting ready to topple over. lol Does anyone know what happened after it started to topple?

From September 1983.
Prince attended the James Brown concert at the Beverly Theatre N Beverly Hills. Michael Jackson guested onstage and, having noticed Prince N the audience, he whispered in Brown's ear that he should b called onstage. Somewhat reluctantly Prince jumped on Big Chick's shoulders & was delivered 2 the front of the stage by the bodyguard. After playing guitar & dancing a bit, Prince leaned on a stage prop streetlamp, which fell over as it had not been secured 2 the stage. He left the concert immediately thereafter, feeling embarrassed by his clumsiness & less than significant impact. But, no worry. Prince 1st meet Patricia Kotero (Apollonia) soon after.

Okay having finally seen this whole thing for the the first time in my life and I thank you for that. Prince was no where near as bad as the legend has become. Micheal was more polished but hey he was Micheal Jackson. Prince did just fine until the end and the lamp post almost hit him.

Peace

If only that were true. Prince was terrible, he was wasted, and he died out there It was hilarious looking back at it, but I'm sure he'd like to forget it.

See I just don't see it that way. It's just not as bad as people have always made it seem. It wasn't great but then it wasn't his band either so. I liked his dance moves. I thought the whole glove thing was hilarious. But I just don't see it as that bad funny at times but not bad like people keep saying it is.

Wow...what a let down? If P performed like that all the time this website would not even exist cuz he wouldn't have made it so far. This is a true rock n roll moment and he probably never did any more drugs after that moment.

nod This is the worst P performance that I have seen thus far and he prbably never did drugs after reflecting on this moment considering how he fucked up his performance and made MJ look better.

thanks, I agree.

By the way, MJ and Prince aren't actually on the same stage together. AFter MJ does his thing, and asks JB to bring Prince up, he dissapears.

I agree. People on this board are either young or silly. Chick went everwhere with P back in the day and he carried him around. I think P was in the audience having a drink and got called up on stage. Not the big deal everyone makes it out to be.

Just watched it... sad Im sooo disappointed would have loved prince to have blown the crowd away with an awesome jam on the guitar or busting some funky moves... but anything but that!

I think Jacko knew Prince was in a bad way stoned and that’s why he mentioned it...

But fast forward to the present year and Prince is still going strong, and well Jacko... need I say more? wacky

THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS HIM WALKING. THE WAY HE WALKS IS SOOO COOL.

THEN he made a shit of it. his guitar "solo" was crap. i no it wasnt his guitar and it was a big guitar 4 him but still SHIT SOLO.

his dancing was shit and his "singing" even worse. he added a beat and that was it....I DONT NO WHY BUT I LOVE WATCHING THIS!
