Why wait for the distributors - just go to Amazon or something - even after the conversion to US dollars and postage costs I still got the dvds cheaper than I would pay retail in NZ.

Cinnamon Girl got shown quite a bit in NZ - probably because Keisha Castle-Hughes was in it... it even made the TV news in clips because of the "controversy"...

I went to Amazon and maybe i was reading it wrong but it was saying that the dvd wouldn't play in Oz due to the region zone, otherwise i would have bought from Amazon
WHY SHOULD I DO THAT, WHEN I CAN DO THIS

i swear 2 god australians are deprived..

I saw Musicology quite a bit on MTV and [V] but still no Cinnamon Girl yet. I'm a music programmer for a music video company based in Brisbane and I made sure I programmed Cinnamon Girl straight away. It's been out in pubs and clubs since November. See if you can find it.

do u know which stores will be selling it??? also is under the cherry moon (special edition) being released in oz any time soon??
australia is so slow when it comes to shipping products here from overseas...
it has been a staggering 5 months (just like you mentioned)..since the special
dvds were released overseas.. how dare australia be that behind..

UTCM is a special edition??? didn't know that one is a special edition, but all 3 are being released on Feb 2, call your local record store and they should have all of them on that date, JB HiFi in Melbourne will have them available on that date, yay about time.

i am a melbournian 2... so this is great for the both of us...
i am so feeling the love for jb hifi... best place to shop for cds and dvds...

I saw the same warning and made some enquiries - Amazon are being over-cautious. As long as you have a multi-zone player (certainly most dvd players in NZ have this feature) you can play the zone one disks no problem. If you only have a Zone 4 player then you're right, they won't play. All the zone one dvds I ordered from the states play on my multi-zone player. If in doubt check out some zone one movies from your local hire store and see if they play on your player (the word "player" is just mentioned too many times in this paragraph!!) Good luck biggrin
