Do I have it all? I'm not bothered about For You or Xpectation... but I wanna know if I have every RELEASED Prince album? Knowing that there's released stuff out there that I hadn't heard is a blasphemous thought.

The Beautiful Experience is more an E.P than an album.

I don't understand why you are not bothered about "For You". It's an essential album for any Prince collection. Not only that, but it's a superb little album in its own right. -----------------------------------------

Try to find this excellent boot of official 12 inches / B-sides / promo's (in excellent remastered quality, it even exceeds the quality of the released cd-albums)

I second that emotion. "For You" is a great little set of songs. If for no other reason you should have it as his first, polished work (as opposed to the 94 East stuff which was recorded before "For You"). ~ - ~ ~ - ~ ~ - ~ ~ - ~ Peace, Love and Positivity ~ - ~ ~ - ~ ~ - ~ Tell me, who in the House know about the Quake.com

Technically not a Prince album if you include that then you'll have to add in load of "associated artists" purely becuase he played on the albums.

co-sign, co-sign, co-sign. FOR YOU is a must. Go right now and buy the damn thing. Classic album. I love this album. The genius of the first song predicts all the greatness that was too come. No way, a couple tracks with guitar work don't qualify before the scores of protege albums. As for For You - pass it up and it's your loss, in years to come Prince and For You will become very cherished indeed, I guarantee it. Once one has all the albums released under his own name(s), it's time to start digging into the albums released under other artists names, because (to me) the albums he did for the likes of Sheila E., The Family, Madhouse, Jill Jones, The Time, etc, etc are as essentially Prince albums as Purple Rain or Sign O' The Times. You can see a comprehensive list of Prince releases in this thread: http://www.prince.org/msg/7/116565 Just search (Ctrl+F) for "Prince & Produced - Officially released albums" » NouveauDance [Edited 12/21/04 8:50am]

Just before anyone asks these:
ThataintFunky said: Just Another Sucker (Dance Mix), If You Feel Like Dancin' (Dance Version), If You Feel Like Dancin' (Radio Edit),
.... are 94 East tracks. And these: ThataintFunky said: Just As Long As We're Together (Disco Mix), Soft And Wet (Disco Mix),
.... are slightly different mixes (not remixes) of the album versions of both tracks. » NouveauDance [Edited 12/21/04 8:50am]

Miguel agree totally for you is a great album and I am floored every time I hear the opening track I wish he would do more songs where he harmonizes with himself with 7 or 8 different voices. Love that. The only time he's done that again was on 7, another favorite. The sound his voice makes is just incredible. The sound his voice makes is just incredible. Prince multi-tracks a lot of vocals - like 7 - you can hear that he's singing the same line in a different register - as opposed to say lots of other acts who just fill out a vocal line by doubling up the original vocal recording. Guess you'll have to count The Slaughterhouse and The Chocolate Invasion as officially released albums, too.
