Prince likes carpet - LA Prince Sighting

I was working in the West Hollywood area - there are a number of high end / designer showrooms within a few blocks of each other.  I drove by one showroom, but there was no parking near it, so I turned around and eventually found parking near another.  After a visit to that account, I walked on down the street to the account that I had missed earlier due to lack of parking.
 
The guys at the account were wrapping up a conversation with a beautiful young girl.  After she left, they looked at each other and commented about what a bizarre hour it had been.  I asked why and they told me that about an hour ago, Prince had come into their showroom and was shopping for a rug for his house.  He wanted a custom rug with the numbers of his house in it for a party he's having.  The girl they were talking with was his assistant and he left 5 minutes before I walked in!!!  That was the showroom that there was no parking in front of!!  I would have been face to face with the little guy if I could have found a parking space. 
 
These guys deal with tons of Hollywood types, so they are not star struck at all - and typically I'm not either.  But to bump into Prince at one of my accounts would have been totally surreal...  What's even more curious is that most A list celebrities do not go to the showrooms themselves - they have assistants or designers that handle these things for them.  Prince must have really wanted this rug and taken a special interest in buying it.
