Does prince have any living children?

I know there was a miscarriage I believe, but does Prince have any living children? If so, are they girls or boys? I always thought for some reason that he longed for one.. hmmm It maybe was something I read or heard somewhere...

Hey annie,
On the infamous Oprah interview when he was married to Mayte he did
mention that he wanted to have like 10 kids (or somehting like that)
If Mayte was okay with it

Goodness, they were so in love. Guess some things just arent meant to be?
If you will, so will I

Maybe that is where I heard it. I knew that he loved children, but didn't think anywhere out there. Strange, maybe there was a problem, you know?
hmmm

I've always thought the same thing. If he's done even half of the "gettin' around" that's credited to him, it's amazing he hasn't had a single woman trying to drag him on Maury for a paternity test.

I remember an interview in Ebony years ago (or maybe it was People?). It was right before Parade because he was talking about how he had to go out on set in a few minutes and perform "the longest on-screen kiss on record" with Kristen Scott Thomas....

Anyway, he said that his dad had given him a couple of pieces of advice and one was to make sure you don't make no babies with a bunch of women --- or something like that. I just remember the gist of it was that he was pretty careful about making sure he didn't end up with a bevy of baby-mamas.

I will offer a fabulous meal to anyone who can find and post this article! Especially the pictures. I kept that magazine around for quite a while just to stare at the pictures..... wink
I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

...Prince carries the trait for a rare genetic dis-ease, Pfieffer syndrome: there's another name in medical terminology for it...no happy report as it causes defects so severe that even if a child is born it has no long term chance at survival...i was so feeling him on wanting a big family, long ago
it was one of my dreams as well....

First, I don't think we ever KNEW that Prince carried the trait for Pfeiffer Syndrome. Although it is the result of a gene mutation, according to the National Craniofacial Association, since neither Prince nor Mayte actually have Pfeiffer Syndrome, there is only a small risk that it would occur in other children that he might father. From what I have read, he should have no more reason to be concerned (maybe a bit apprehensive after having his son) about it than anyone else. Like most of us, I hope he will someday soon have other children. It's clear that he loves children when we watch his interaction with them.

newpowersista, u speak as tho' u saw the labs 4 Prince & Mayte; perhaps u have-truly i am witness 2 such things being possible...the public has no way of knowing what has transpired with Prince & Mani having a family...my perspective is drawn from a portion of a message shared N October 1988 ('...ye R cenogenesis') which may have generated his line "talk of children still frighten me"...it wasn't Vicki who did the calling...

little man if u peep this thread know i have spoken on this as gently as possible...'i am one girl'...didn't know what it meant then...now i know...

No one said that Prince actually has Pfeiffer Syndrome -but he does carry a dormant form of it. It's not guaranteed that all children he might father would have it, but there is a chance.

I remember in 1992,there was a vicious rumor that actress Troy Beyer was pregnant with Prince's baby. She played games with the media, refusing to deny or confirm if it was true lol

Unless we have a genetic work up of Prince, we don't know if he is the carrier or not. I have never understood why folks assume the syndrome came from him. Yes, I know many of you think he has a big head -- literally and figuratively! -- compared to the rest of his body, but that hardly proves anything.

Leave it alone and don't spread rumors without proof.

As a big-headed person. I agree. A lot of geniuses have had big heads with nair a sign of genetic malfiescence. What's my excuse for not being a genius? My big head came from an unfortunate babysitting fiasco....I don't want to talk about it....
