What Musicology show would you like to see on DVD and why?

Opening LA aside.
This would seem the obvious choice as there were cameras everywhere but there were a few lyrical flubs. Amazing show nonetheless.

of all the shows i went to this year, i really dug the champaign, IL show the most...maybe it's just because it was the first show i got to see in person, but i just thought the energy was WAY over the top compared to the chicago shows i saw this summer (which i loved as well, don't get me wrong).

Word! I thought the first night in San Jose was over the top. That Controversy / Love Bizarre medley pretty much did it for me.
Now that I think about it, all shows may have been documented.

Kiss73

Ok, everyone get ready this is gonna get rough!!

I want MY show My first Prince show in Detroit at the Palace, 2nd night.

Way back when Purple Rain came out I was a very loyal fan at the age of 13, over the years I had not followed him alot. When I heard Musicology I was floored and taken back to why I love Prince soooo much. When my wife surprised me with the tx we were at work, I thought I was gonna keel over!!!
That night at the Palace has stayed with me, We took photos, and have one in our living room right next to my Paul Stanley of kiss bust!!
I was so moved by that night I made the decision I had been putting off for years to go back to college! Thank you Prince!!!!

P.S. In case you were wondering, I would
like the Palace show on DVD!!!!

It will be impossible to satisfy everyone. Hopefully he'll pick one stompin' show and amend the dvd with highlights from the tour. Deluxe DVD please!!

i think a dvd pieced together from different shows could be interesting, though i'm afraid it would end up another one of those productions with weirdo editing and stupid special effects. i'd love to have just a straight-up, raw, "here it is" concert video without little montages of feathers and raccoons and shit, and none of that jumpcutting mess that makes me wanna go into a conniption fit.

For me, it would have to be the second of his three nights at MSG. He tore it up on guitar that night....Sign O' The Times, Bambi, and Whole Lotta Love one after the other. He and John did some wicked guitar and drum jamming somewhere in there. And of the four nights in which I caught the tour, this was the only night in which he ripped into a vicious guitar solo on "controversy", before slamming it onto the floor in great Prince rock star fashion!
I need this show on DVD!

MIGUELGOMEZ

Although I live in San Jose and caught two shows there this year, I would love it if the Oakland show would come out on DVD. Reason being that THE TIME opened up for that show and the other reason is that I was there.

Hey Kiss73, I've been Prince fan since 1979(second album) and a Kiss Fan since 1976-77.

I saw two this year....Vegas (Mandalay/Woods show) and Denver (home) ...he ROCKED Denver...the set was tight, the "rap" was outrageious, he was funny and relaxed, the band...well never mind, you get it!...so there is my choice! Humble in his presence.....
worship Thanks for the reminder of those nights...

I would love to see one of the MSG shows on DVD.
All 3 shows were great!
And I agree..If a concert DVD is released, I hope it is just from one show. Not a bunch of different shows spliced together. thumbs up!

Omaha, mainly because I went to it.

And the Twin Cities Shows plus the After Parties at Paisley. Because that would be cool, and I wish I would have been there.

The show at Madison Square, think it was the Thursday show I attended, would be a good pic for me. I also went to one of the Nassau Collisuem shows, and what stood out was when he did 'Shhhh' He really did 'BREAK IT DOWN' and would love to see that one again as well.

Co-Sign!

I've seen him many times, but he was on top of the world in Denver, and they responded in kind.

It'd be a dream come true, if one of these 2 nights in Denver, popped up on DVD.

NYC MSG 2nd nite. tuesday nite. this was a one of those transcendent shows. MF'in' BAMBI??? C'mon!

And if you've seen a bunch of shows over the years u'all KNOW what I'm talkin' about...those truly transcendent shows, that for me, keeps me coming back, or never leaving really.

The above descriptions hint at it, his guitar work was AMAZING and he was sooo playful...but his acoustic set that night just hit it. A really intense, intimate show...in a frikkin' Arena!!!

I dont know, not being in the USA I didnt get to see any of the shows. But these days, Prince live compilations, be it on CD, DVD or Video, just dont seem to capture the magic... For some reason they are edited badly... The Alladin DVD just did not capture the ONA experience at all. I went to the LOndon shows and they kicked ass... The DVD was way off the mark...

Definately needs to just leave it all alone and put a whole, unedited show from start to finish...

I would love to have the 2nd Dallas show, the New Orleans show at the Essence fest (complete with the funk band), and any of the last few shows were "Call My Name" was played.

The Hartford, Connecticut show (because I was there!)

The Hartford show rocked. It rocked more than the NY show I attended. It made Hartford, for a moment, turn into the city it used to be a long time ago -- a rockin' city, now it's just ghetto neutral
