Fav prince intro..........

I give it up to Prince on an intro tip! Prince is great at intro's and obviously spends loads of time bothering with them!


What r ur favs? Here r a few of mine:-


1999
Little red corvette (very,very simple but effective)
Gold (beutifull)
Partyman (Jack rules!)
My name is Prince (is that Arsinio Hall saying "Prince and the New power gneration"?)
Gett Off
New power generation
Love machine (the time)
The latest fashion (the time) "fella's.....
Pandimonium (the time) (Jerome...ain't this my club? Fella's aint this my club....
yount/blondie (the time) ("yount".....jesse's screaming guitar solo)

If we're talking released recordings, then it's gotta be 1999 4 me everytime.

If u were talking Live intros at concerts, the Nude Tour intro wins hands-down - that was So damned cool.

PS: Yes it is Arsenio at the beginning of 'My Name Is Prince' - sampled from this show appearance:

'Let's Go Crazy' / 'Kiss' - The Arsenio Hall Show (4th September, 1991)

I thought it mighta been Arsinio from "mtv awards 1991" (u know "gett off").....I rmember though now.....



Oh yeah, The nude tour had a great opening, "The future" was the perfect choice and yet an odd one as well.....I loved the way it was performed and how it sounded.....and yes, Tony does well at the end too!

Nope, I didn't, I just dont like the stupid vocals, the "yeahoai" bit.before the drums come in.....sounds stupid to me!


"power form above" Carmen electra.....I guess Prince wrote it with someone.....it is a Carmen outtake that somehow did not make the final album?

No, no although The Future worked really well I actually meant the actual DAT intro before he hit the stage - 4 me, a large gig has just GOTTA open with a real humdinger of an intro 2 whip the crowd in2 a frenzy - that did it 4 me and pushed all my buttons at once! lol
